I think there should be a new pack that’s even better than gold! It would go for 20K and have increased odds for Legendarys and a guaranteed Ultra Rare. It would include 4 permanent REQS. What do you guys think? Is it needed or wanted?

Its a great idea… but won’t happen because its better value for REQs than gold packs.
The platinum pack would have to only give 3 permanent unlocks to make it not better than gold packs.

They already have packs exactly as you describe (but with two guaranteed ultra rares)! I’ve been opening them for weeks, and they’re discounted at HALF that price you suggested! So if you just buy two of them, then it’s EXACTLY what you described.
They’re called “I finished the silvers first - Gold Packs”

I have not grinded silver packs at all. I have only gotten Gold since Day 1. I have multiple DMRs and have a wide range of other guns in my loadouts. I also have multiple Legendaries which everybody covets. The only thing at this point that I really want is -The Answer, H2 BR, and the CE Pistol. I’m 100% with XP/RP Boosts. around 50% with power weapons, with the exception of not having the H2 BR I’ve very satisfied.
Platinum sounds like an awesome idea but you have to ask is it really worth it to save up 20k req points to get some 4 armors, or if your new player, do I want to spend 20k on one platinum, two golds, four silvers, or a ton of bronzes. A smart new player would go for the bronze packs for his/her 20k req points.
With 20k I’d rather grind out 4 silvers. Then you have guaranteed ultra rare and up in golds for less. I know it’s a -Yoink- long grind but it’s the best way to go about it without buying stuff.

There already are Platinum packs. The Warzone and Arena REQ Bundles are considered “platinum packs” and are just gold packs that unlock three items instead of two.

You don’t have to but it’s a hell of a lot better than wasting the 10,000 on a gold pack if it means you’ll get a common or uncommon item. What you want to do is get all the common items out of the way by buying bronze packs. After than you can move onto silver packs and eliminate uncommon and rare REQs. Once you’ve done that all you have to worry about is ultra rare and legendary from the gold packs (and anything added in the updates).
See, you can only get ultra rare and legendary from gold packs. But, you can also get common, uncommon, and rare items from gold packs if you haven’t cleared them yet. You can only get common items in bronze packs and common, uncommon and rare from silver packs so if you get rid of all the commons by buying bronze, you only get uncommon and rare from silver packs. Get rid of those two rarities and all you’ll see in gold packs are ultra rare and legendary items.
