In the new Community Update, Unyshek talked to Forger, Black Picture about his most recent project. BP decorated and tweaked Orion into a new map. The map has its new features but still has the distinct Orion look, with a touch of Halo CE. The link has all of the details.

I would like it to still have the same kind of ‘feel’ as it did before, as it felt like a true halo map in my opinion. I’d also like to see a great variety of weapons on the map, rather than focus too much on having one kind of weapon set (Antifreeze had too much prometheon weapons while trying to keep character as a forerunner location).

Isn’t the Plasma Pistol the only Covenant weapon on that map?

I never got to play on it yet, but from what I’ve seen, it’s gorgeous. It deserves to be added in. Plus, I get a Attack on the Control Room feel to it. I bet snow would go nice with it.

Nothing more nostalgic than hearing the Covenant door on High Charity in Halo 2 and the door designs from CE!

The “New” map is absolutely amazing. I can’t wait for it to be back in the rotation!
