A hand held gauss cannon. (like holding a mounted machine gun)

It’s called the Railgun. All you do is hold the trigger for a second then let go once the reticule is red. The magnetism will take care of the rest.
So the binary rifle with a tighter reticle.
I love creating new stuff for games I play.
We’re going to need a little more info about the capabilities of this gauss cannon before we can determine if it would break the game or not.
Does it kill in one shot?
Is it a turret weapon?
Given that it pretty much has to have the range and accuracy of the Gauss Hog, well, that’s OP right there.
The game doesn’t really need more OHK weapons anyway.
If someone is about to shoot you with it and you’re staring at them…it looks like the gun is shooting out a plasma nade…weird…
Its a good weapon…good on very close range…but not so great on mid-range.
Any Gauss Cannon would have to be shoulder mounted if anything.
However we already have the SpLaser which covers the “Instantaneous, Ginormous blast that kills anything it hits” category.
We also have the Railgun which I think should be slightly more powerful. Powerful enough to kill a Ghost/Mongoose in 1 shot anyway. The speed of those vehicles and the charge up time of the railgun (IMO) means that it should definitely kill in one shot.
The Gauss Cannon is a sweet weapon but I just don’t see it having a role in the game unless we get rid of another power weapon.
