343 knows however that this is a minority thing at least in how it shows up here on the forums and they don’t act on that principle. If more people voiced dissatisfaction to the point that we had numbers then something would happen but nah
Nothing in this game is offline only, except for the campaign. It’s part of Microsoft’s secret conspiracy to make everything in the world online only, so that they can control all of us.

It really is a big deal to folk already aware of this problem but most people -and then generally this applies to all manner of things not just this- are only ever aware of such things when they realise there’s a problem with what they can’t do anymore. MS or perhaps even 343 know this only too well that our tiny pathetic whining is for nothing
I’ve enjoyed creating worlds in the past using the excellent Forge and enjoy looking at them years later much like any piece of creation but what honestly is the point when we very likely wont be able to can’t access this stuff anymore. It is true that this latest instalment has made Halo less special because of these restrictions and until it’s seen as a problem to many then we’ll continue to get shafted. A shame

I wish it would sometimes when you are going to do a massive forge season and you get disconnected 4 times in 20 minutes for no reason.
You can’t forge without gold.
In Reach custom games and forge worked offline. Why Halo 5 needs internet connection or gold for that?
I use custom games to know better the map.
LostGem rasises another good point. Why not have customs / forge be offline if this game is so eSports-centric (allegedly)
If you’re able to custom offline, you can learn and analyze the maps better / at your leisure. Once Forge was made online-only I decided I wasn’t going to bother with making/modifying maps because in some years when they pull the plug on H5 the work is gone.
Halo 5 needed a little more beef at launch. I feel bad for the players that don’t get post-launch content…

Hmm who knows.Truth is I’d be willing to bet that some of 343 aren’t too happy themselves that people are disappointed with how Forge currently is in this regard.

This is funny (to me) because I had a post with a little rant about the lack of offline options in Halo 5 just a few days ago.

I am sorry to have used the title this way but it does at least get the issue some attention no matter how small. It would be great if more people spoke up about this otherwise there really is no hope for it. Unlikely but you never know
