New multiplayer mode: Skirmish. Here me out...

In Skirmish you control an Elite or Spartan.

As a Spartan you command some Marines, and as an Elite you control a mixed group of Jackals and Grunts.

Using an AI command system similarb to the one in the Halo 5 campaign. If your playing with freinds, they can take control of a Marine, Grunt or Jackal.

The game has a skill tree. Every time you play a certain character, like a Jackal or Marine, you gain xp for that character, and eventually rank up, unlocking new weapons and skins.

How does that sound?

Sounds like a great standalone expansion for Halo 5 if it’s done well, but as everything, it has to be done well.

Sounds like a mini halo game like one you could play on your phone. That would have to have already be built it is probably to late for 343 to make a gametype like that

It’s not gonna work bro, they would need to do the models of the marines, jackals and grunt to be available to play with them and for just one multiplayer mode it’s too much time and work, you are asking too much… maybe for another Halo game

Cool idea, but as everyone else said It’s kinda late for something like that

I’d prefer something like Gears of War: Judgement’s OverRun mode.

Basically, one team played the human COG and the other played the Locust Horde. The COG had to defend objectives until they were destroyed, then pushed back to the next one. The round ends when time ran out or the Locust destroyed all objectives. For the second round, the teams got switched around. Winner was whoever destroyed the objectives fastest.

The COG were standard soldiers with unique weapons/abilities while the Locust could pick from a wide range of Locust enemies each with unique abilities. Playing as Locust could earn you points, which let you buy bigger and stronger Locust.

So for Halo, you could have Grunts, Jackals and Crawlers for Tier 1, Elites and Brutes for Tier 2, and then Hunters and so on for tier 3.

Sounds cool
