Hey guys I just want to know what you guys have been thinking about the Halo 5 Guardians Multiplayer. Personally I am having a blast. Its great fun with friends.
In all fairness I sucked but I can differentiate between my play and the game design. Anxious to get it right.
I am haveing so much fun!
I’ve had a lot of fun using ground pound. I’ve been able to do some pretty slick stuff with it. I also appreciate the thrust ability as I’ve been using it to fit in with my playstyle.
I enjoy it, it creates a sandbox within each game allowing for different play styles.
The people who feel Halo needed to “evolve”, and what they mean is have things like Sprint, Thrust, Clamber added, are the ones who probably never really played Halo 2 and 3 seriously. I find it impossible to believe that the people who loved the old Halos would ever say that Halo needed to go in this direction.
This new direction is infinitely worse than the old style.
Halo didn’t need to do anything, aside from update its graphics, sound, and social functions, to stay relevant.
Halo 5 is truly Halo: Combat Evolved! I like the changes.

I like the new direction with these abilities, while I never got the chance to play Halo 2 online, I did play Halo 3 pretty seriously, and as you can see from my profile versus yours, I made it higher up the chain of command than you did. Halo 5 requires playing slightly different now. You have to adapt or you won’t be that great.
Now I won’t say Halo needed to go into this direction, but it certainly wasn’t the worst direction to go in.

I’ve played halo since CE, and I’m loving the direction halo is going. Finally the Spartans feel like actual futuristic super soldiers, and not slow moving bullet sponges that can carry guns. You read all the books and lore and you see Spartans doing all these amazing things, and then you play the game and they can barely jump. Let’s not forget the Arbiter and the UNSC are on the same side now, so tech sharing would lead to more advanced armour and weapons and what not. Finally, most people don’t want to play the same game for the next decade, with just some graphics upgrades every 3 years. Nostalgia is a wonderful thing, but it’s important not to get lost in it.
Im really really liking the new dash and float mechanics but not so much with the ground slam move.
Best halo yet.

You meant ‘I’ve played Halo campaign since CE…’
I don’t know one person who played Halo 2 MP seriously who would say ‘I just don’t feel like a Spartan! I mean… read the books, guys!’. No, they were too busy playing a game they knew supported a healthy skill gap, with tons of depth, that they could get better at for years to come to ever say something like that.
And seriously…feel like a Spartan? Let me guess, on your commute to work every morning, you 4 shot passersby while jogging backward on your way to catch the train, and when you get off, you pick up a sniper rifle and 180 no scope your office’s door open, jump strafe indoors and throw a sticky on your boss’s face before touching the ground, right? Well, most people don’t. I felt Spartan enough in the old games.
What’s Spartan about not being able to shoot as you run anyway?

Umm you are breaking years of tradition. If you’re not good or having fun, you have to -Yoink- and moan on the forums.
