So the tarturus’s gavel pack has been removed from the store recently. It was added into the store last Thursday and I think that the Prophets Bane appeared in store on a previous Thursday. So we can perhaps expect a new mythic weapon to be added into the store soon enough I would say. What do you think it will be? I personally hope it won’t be something as OP as the SPNKR Prime, but that is a possibility. I don’t like this month of mythic, but if anything I would choose the H2 BR to be in since it is just a loadout weapon. However I hope the Nornfang pack never sees the light of the day.
I would definetly not get it if it were the SPNKr Prime. I already have it. I have 4 of them. I had 5.

I will get whatever it is since I have 100000 RP saved up. I would never use my wallet for this

Neither would I.
Wow you noticed a pattern that was 100% obvious to anyone with a brain

Well, if you mean a new mythic every week as a pattern, then yes. But if you mean the pattern of which mythic come next, then that is not true.
Please don’t support this Month of Mythic scam. One mythic cert is not worth 1/6 the price of the full game. 343 is testing the waters to see how much they can get away with before people start to call them out on it. I want this game to thrive and be successful. We can’t do that by buying into this Month of Mythic scam. So what if all the DLC is “free”. The reqs are connected to packs you have to either grind for or pay for. The maps 343 has made so far are sub-par and mostly forge edits of existing maps. Like Jim Sterling said “No company puts in optional microtransactions and expects you to not buy them. No company operates that way.”

You make some fair points, but I do have one question: Why is everyone complaining about the Month of Mythic packs now, versus literally ALL of the previous 80,000 to 120,000, $10-$15 packs? I honestly don’t see how this is any worse. Remember the Memories of Reach pack that was $14.99 and 120,000 points to get all of the Reach-inspired armor? Or how about the HCS packs that focus on specific teams. Unlike the Month of Mythic packs, which, by-the-way, can be bought with in-game currency and do not have any exclusive items, the HCS packs lock content behind a pay-wall. A $40 pay-wall, too! ($10 per pack plus an extra $10 pack for the last generic HCS stuff) I mean, sure the teams get a portion of the money, but how much? Also, there’s the Vehicular Manslaughter Pack, which cost $5.99, gave a ton of vehicles, and was restricted to payment with money, only. Or maybe the Spartan’s Armory Pack, which you had to buy four of to complete the collection and possibly get the elusive 343i skins.
So you see, I don’t know why people are only angry with Month of Mythic now, when, IMO, far worse REQ packs have been published beforehand. To me, if they truly believed these things, then they should have found fault with all the other non-Gold, Silver, and Bronze packs far earlier. And some definitely did argue these things. But not one of those packs got the response that this did. We get four packs that we wouldn’t have to buy with real money, and that aren’t available for more than a few days, but that we could for $10. That’s a total of $40 for the entire Month of Mythic. Alternatively, you have the HCS team packs, which cost $40 for everything, you can’t buy them with points, and the items included are locked behind that paywall. Additionally, you can still buy the packs and have been able to buy them for almost three months now. This is 100x worse to me, because, no matter how much I play (and I play a ton), I will never get these items without forking over 67% of the game’s initial cost. That, to me, is the worst REQ pack offense. Not “Month of Mythic.”
Also, I’d like to point out that I bought both previous packs with points. I have 1.6 million to spare right now, and since I had all certs, I got 45,000 in return. I am rank 149, but I’m not stringent with my REQ points. At this point, there is no grinding for REQs for me. I finished that stage back in January when I got all the permanents for Infinity’s Armory. I then saved up points for all other updates from then forward. When Spartan’s Armory came out, my packs were bugged, so 343i refunded me about 400,000 RP. I used that as a starting point for collecting points. So my only concern at this point is XP.

People did complain about that stuff. The reason the outcry is more here is that is more blatant. You can swipe your card and get instant access to the strongest weapons the game has to offer. Before you weren’t guaranteed anything powerful. You could get just cosmetics a lot of the time.
It’s more blatant and in your face this time around.

I know, I admitted that in my post. See the bolded statement.
As for the rest of your post, I would like to say thank you for explaining this. That point makes sense, and does explain why there is more public outcry now. I guess the other thing I’d point out is that most of the Halo 5 population that remains, with the exception of smurfs, seems to have already completed the REQ system. Almost all of my friends have done so, and no longer have any need to get a certification such as this. Maybe the giving of twelve powerful weapons per pack is excessive, but on the other hand, what about all of the Achilles tryhards who have rank 150+. I guarantee they have no shortage of Mythics. So in a way, it’s a method for newer players to have a chance at fighting back against these tryhards. Of course, that’s assuming they even get to use the weapons, as in a farming match, reaching level 5 is a real chore. Thus, this isn’t really a good defense, as the only time newer players would really get the chance to use these powerful weapons would be in a game with people who are lower in skill than they. And that would basically indicate that they would be winning anyway. Therefore, I think the “blatant/in-your-face” attribute absolutely applies to these packs.
It’s a mess, but at the same time, this was the first Halo game where I didn’t feel like I had to buy all the DLC for the BS Multiplayer Achievements that I could never earn legitimately because nobody else had the maps. Even if the post-launch stuff in Halo 5 was rushed and poorly made, I still get to play on it enough to know that it was rushed and poorly made. With Halo Reach and Halo 4, I never saw the DLC maps except once or twice if I got really lucky, which was a shame, since I really liked those maps. With Halo 3, DLC was, and is, required for almost all of the playlists, some of which had zero population as early as three years ago (Action Sack), which was when I started playing Halo 3 Multiplayer on Xbox 360.
So it’s a trade-off, and, much as I despise Micro-transactions, I think I would vote to keep them in if that is the only way to keep the DLC coming to all players, regardless of how much they paid. It’s far more frustrating to be unable to use anything I paid for, especially when I paid $10 for a small chance of being able to use one of the three maps. However, I think it should be done with Gold, Silver and Bronze packs only. No Month of Mythic type extra packs.
