This would be a separate set of modes than standard Halo gameplay that builds upon what Halo 4 and 5 established in a way that makes sense within Halo Infinite. Think kinda like Metroid Prime suit Energy level.
Each Spartan Armor should have individual differences in it’s “Power System” that allow players to have different roles in the gameplay ecosysem, with the suit frame and power system allowing for base variables in: ( Each equipment usage would require a certain number of power cell usage from your total power cell capacity, for example, one instance of equipment usage is 3 units out of your power system’s 12 unit capacity before your suit needs to recharge non-shield power reserves.
Example: Specialists mode could reduce starting grenades to only one nade of your choice but allow EOD weapon specialist to carry 2 grenades or drop an ammo pouch to refill grenades for other Spartans with a cooldown. Various roles could give resistance or enhanced user experience to certain power weapons, melee resistance or capability, vehicle usage, AI support units, map features, objectives etc
- Shield Strength ( More variable to shield strength than just overshield wiith a color coded or “shield strength” sensor readout by other players showing how powerful your shields are )

ABILITIES of various Spartan classes IN THIS MODE/PLAYLIST could include:
– Slower but stronger ARMORED SPARTAN capable of surviving an energy sword strike or Grav Hammer impact at the cost of mobility ( an Armor class like Jorge ), faster at using heavy items like Grav Hammer and walking with Detachable turrets, gain resistance to one headshot by sniper or precision weapons, Resistant to vehicle splatters
– SUPPORT SPARTAN: that has Shield Regen Equipment that allows them to Regen another player’s shield from a distance with Forerunner tech derived from the Sentinel Beam at the cost of their own power system reserves IN ADDITION to having other support capabilities like smoke grenade, ammo pack and jackal shield, can ping locations of nearby medkit station or provide one of their own from hip pouch as a usable equipment that doesn’t take a normal equipment slot but is separate support item slot

PILOT SPARTANS: that have the abiliity to enhance vehicle resistance to weapons or mines and repair heavily damaged vehicles, better handling, more interaction with vehicle function like a rocket resistance defense capability and more ( vehicles handled by pilots get temporary 15% armor boost manually activated by pilot and have less down time from EMP’s ), can boost warthog slightly like ghost

COMMANDER SPARTAN: that can give squad commands to support marines, ODSTs or marines in vehicles in Big team battle, can ping locations for whole team, display their own or other player’s viewpoint via Camera display in upper right corner for whole team or fireteam, can give commands via comms wheel such as saying to push a map zone or objective

COMMS SPARTAN: Can call in Weapon drops, Vehicle Drops, Ammo Replenishment packs, and has faster interaction with map interactables like opening Forerunner weapon rooms

EOD SPARTANS: Carry full grenades, activatable explosive shield equipment with cooldown, can plant or defuse bomb in “Assault” mode faster, has access to request extra explosives ammo from Comms or Commander Spartan, their rockets have lock on capability, can deploy anti-vehicle landmine or defuse landmine

INTERCEPTOR SPARTAN: Can temp boost Movement speed at cost of reducing shields from 125% to 100%, have double thruster ability, faster base movement, faster strafe, and longer jetpack usage time

WEAPON SPECIALIST SPARTANS have an Enhanced Assault Rifle with better range and more ammo in mag and slight accuracy buff, slightly better kinetic weapon resistance once shields are down, has third weapon as a sidearm on hip or chest holster, well rounded overall and ability to carry a third piece of equipment or ability item

SENSOR SPECIALIST SPARTAN: Has ability to use Promethean Vision with shorter range than Halo 4, longer cooldown, and combines with scan and ping functions so you can ping another player visible for a few seconds to a member of your fireteam, has expanded radar. can scramble radar for a short time in a narrow radius, shorter cooldown using map sensor launcher and more
OTHER TBD ROLES:
- RECON SPARTAN: Heavily reduced glint with Sniper based weapons, bigger reticle, slightly enhanced magnetism in Aim with scope computer compensator
- STEALTH SPARTAN: Longer invis use, can obscure sensor readings, can make self difficult to be targettable by precision weapons, third weapon is flash orb grenade with shorter cooldown than other players
- SCIENCE SPARTAN: Better use of forerunner tech and weapons, can utilize forerunner map interactables better and activate locked doors and lightbridges faster and is resistant to forerunner weapons
- CQC SPARTAN: Better Melee weapon proficiency, melee resistance , can use jackal shield, enhanced bubble shield attributes, Can Dive and Roll and do quick 90 or 180 degree turns with bumpers, ability to use combat knife as tird weapon
- LIGHNING SPARTAN: EXCELS in electrical, Emp and Plasma weaponry, boosted 15% against plasma and 25% against electrical effects but slightly weaker armor against Kinetics
CHANGES FOR ALL SPARTANS In this mode:
- Reintroduction of health meter, health-kits and medic role
- More Map variables such as activatable nodes, stashes, light-bridges, platforms, elevators etc
- More Map based Equipment such as a power core mountable pack that boosts total power cell reserve for quicker cooldowns, more equipment slots and unique abilities
- Ability to have two equipment items for all players
- Addition of Boosted weapons from Campaign
- Addition of AI support units delivered via warthog in larger, BTB maps
- Temporary Sentinel support by capturing and repairing downed sentinels via SPARTAN ENGINEER
- Huragok derived tech to quickly repair vehicle via main base or support spartans
- Return of Covenant Spectre, UNSC Walker, Brute Prowler , introduction of sand/snow-hog, ghost-like hover-hog and addition of UNSC Kestrel and Banished Skitter Walker
- optional Precision Weapon Starts for a precision weapon BTB playlist
- Return of modified Bubble-shield, Landmine, Flash Orb, and regen capabilities for specific class
