New mode idea to replace Warzone/firefight for Infinite

You start out on Zeta Halo as your MP Spartan, your goal: Survive. You build a base using a terminal that acts as a makeshift Forge Monitor, you kill enemies like Grunts, Elites and Brutes during the day, either keeping their weapons for yourself or melting them down to use for base parts. At night you fend off wild life predators and of course, the infamous, Jackal Snipers, again to help your survival along.

You have a limited space to work in, but unlimited time, you only have a single life though, once that’s gone, you’re done. Think of it as Survival Halo, but instead of Horde based it’s material based.

I’d much rather this new mode, than ever seeing any type of Halo 5 Warzone mode ever again.

How would you balance the ability for players to build things? Couldn’t you just make indestructible base?

The idea is neat (I’ve always wanted a builder vs builder type mode) but I feel that its extremely complicated in practice.

You are basically calling for a Gears of War style Horde mode, in comparison with typical firefight which is more casual/arcadey and just about having fun.

It’s not meant to be PVP, it’s meant to be PVE. Also it’s meant to be complicated, that’s what makes it fun.
