I got a Remote Detonation medal (Kill an enemy by shooting a grenade) my second or third game out. Anyone else get any new or unusual medals?
There is a medal for back smacking someone with Overshield but I cant remember what its called. Off the rack is pick up a weapon from a weapon rack then kill someone in a short span of time.
I feel like they need to update the medals in the game. It looks so generic and basic, feels less rewarding compared to Halo 3 medals.
Last night in my last PvP before they shut it down I got a new one.
Yard Sale - Kill an opponent with a power weapon and full inventory.
Total opinion, this medal sounds like it was created with Battle Royale in mind.
I snagged yard sale (kill a fully stacked enemy)
And clusterluck. Kill 2 or more people with their own grenade.
Yup, I got a “Yardsale” as well for killing an enemy with a power weapon and full Inv.
I got the 360 medal which is to turn around and immediately kill an enemy.
The other one I got was Nightmare or Boogeyman, not sure which it was - I may have gotten both? All I know is somebody called me a Boogeyman during the game and it was hilarious!

Wait so clusterluck now requires it to be with their grenade, or am I misunderstanding?
The only new medal I noticed was off the rack, but it is entirely possible I overlooked a few others. I didn’t spend enough time looking at the post game stats unfortunately

I managed to get a few doubles with my own nades and never Land a cluster luck(and I didn’t check the accurate description after the game so I’m kind of guessing)
I don’t know, but the new medals are really beautiful.

I hope they have an option to display the classic medal look.
The medals have taken a serious dive in quality after Halo Reach, which, in my opinion, absolutely perfected it. That’s not to say there isn’t room for 343 to build off previous success just as Reach did from Halo 3.
- Visuals- the new medals are sterile, bland, and I can hardly tell them apart. Previous medals had character, were easy to distinguish, and were iconic. There’s no need to change them. - Location- medals being displayed near the reticle are too small, they should appear in the bottom left and be larger, as in previous titles. - Multikills- should remain as they were in previous titles. As indicated above, design and display locations should change. - Sprees- cumulative kills from 0-40 was excellent (i.e. killing spree, killing frenzy, running riot, etc.). I really don’t know why they changed the medals from Unfrigginbelievable to “demon”. I sincerely hope this is changed back. Perhaps 45 could be Heretic and 50 could be Demon. Additionally, I loved the zombie killing sprees, juggernaut sprees, etc. It always gave something to go for while playing. - Weapon sprees- Reach introduced the sword spree, slice n’ dice, cutting crew, etc. with almost all weapons having a 5, 10, and 15 kill spree medal (i.e. gravity hammer, sword, spartan laser). These gave the game such character. Melee spree just doesn’t cut it! - Bottom line- I think 343 should keep the medals as they were in Reach, they can definitely add some! Not all need to be voiced though (which I think that the Infinite beta did well in) - Vehicle sprees? Could be added. A GUNGOOSE spree could be hype
I got a medal in Bazaar for killing 3 enemies with 1 sensor. It was called “Odin” and it had a raven on it.

i got a ninja medal (hit someone in the back by jumping over their head) and a 360 medal (do a full spin and kill an opponent in a short amount of time)
Not me, but I saw in some videos that they replaced unfrigginbelievable with “Demon”, and invincible with something else.
