Anyone know why the new max rank is D3 from placement. Just my opinion, but doesn’t this make solo q unnecessarily challenging now? Just curious if someone could explain this move to me.
All the top ranks now get filtered into diamond, making legit diamond players games ruthless now since they have to go up against onyx & champs… I don’t understand this either.
CSR is capped at Diamond 3 after qualifying so that players are encouraged to keep playing to get to Onyx and champ. Players were complaining that ranking immediately into Champ was unfair and provided no incentive, so this change was made.
Having rank capped at Diamond 3 does not mean that Onxy and Champ players will be matched with diamond players. Matchmaking uses hidden MMR to create games, not CSR. A player who is good enough to be Champ will have Champ MMR, even if their CSR is Diamond 3.
