Anyone know when they’re adding new maps? The 8 that are there are getting a little old.
The definitely half -Yoinked!- the maps and rushed them. There is little to no versatility in the maps, they all feel the same honestly, not exciting, with little to no dramatic scenery.
I don’t know when they are coming but, I can’t wait.
2 new Blitz maps are getting released next, I don’t know about any deathmatch maps.

Yeah I want some new maps. Especially in blitz.
I’d love some actual new maps. The new Blitz themes will be slightly refreshing, but I’d much rather see some more variety added to the deathmatch/core game maps.
100% agree. Blitz mode defo needs some new maps to bring some different tactic approaches to each match.
It seems that 343 is too worried about making sure the maps are balanced (read: symmetrical) and forgot to make them fun.

Like most things these days unfortunately I feel like 343i and other developers end up in a lose-lose situation:
- Make too many maps but don’t test enough for balance and the game is ‘broken’ - Properly test and balance fewer maps and players get bored. - Hold off on release until you have enough stuff: people moan and you might lose playerbase to new games coming out in the interim. - Release things as soon as possible (like so much of the community seem to want) and you release ‘broken’ things - Release stuff as paid DLC and you’re ‘money grabbing’ - Release stuff as free DLC and you lose money compared to your competitorsThey literally don’t seem to be able to win because whatever they do people complain

I found that out later lol
If and when the new maps arrive, my only concern will be a symmetrical map that doesnt have a advantage to either side… So many current maps have a good side and a bad side which automatically gives you a advantage/disadvantage depending which side you got.
They need another map where u can release the flood on your opponent lol that was funny -Yoink!- people off with that
After one year still no new map in deathmatch??
