Has there been any news on new maps coming soon? if so tell me about it! oh and if you dont know throw out some map ideas or any maps you would like to see come back?!
There are the seven classic Halo maps coming out with Halo Anniversary.
The Noble and Defiant are great. I dont know how the CEA maps are going to work, im pretty sure they wont be available for actual Reach playlists.

They should be because you can download the maps separately for Reach

But just because CEA is using the Reach engine, doesnt mean it will all be compatible. Such as, new character models for elites, which arent on the Reach disc. I guess we will see how that all works out.

No, CEA is not using the Reach engine. You can how ever access Reach’s multiplayer with the 7 new maps from the menu, you can also download them so you can play them on your normal disk.
Edit: Beat me to it, what ArchedThunder said

It has been confirmed, didn’t you watch the halo waypoint exclusive. Campaign is CE, MP is Reach

lol, no sorry. I havent been keeping myself informed lately. I just saw some pics from CEA, and in MP there was an original Halo looking Elite, so i thought Reach and CEA couldnt be played to together. Thanks for info guys.
I still believe that Bungie has a secret map for Bungie Day.
After all, if the Noble’s maps were their final maps released, they would have really said it.

And if not a new downloadable map then maybe some crazy Forge World map

Good one! XD
Anyway, I think people are a little bit spoiled ever since we got Cold Storage on Bungie Day 2008. I mean, that really was an awesome present! A map for free that wasn’t just a remake of one of the best H:CE maps, but actually a very good remake that was immensely fun to play.
Anyway, I do have the impression that quite many folks are now expecting Bungie to give them another new map for free on Bungie Day, especially since it’s going to be that last B-Day where Bungie still have at least some say about Halo.

Whatever they do, I’m sure it will be great.

CEA is using the Reach engine. Sure, it’s using CE’s physics model, but it’s still using Reach’s to render. Not sure if they’re switching back to CE’s rendering code when in ‘classic’ mode, though.
