I know it sounds more like a hassle to release more maps for ranked play on halo 5 because of working on future halos but I totally think more maps should be released. Plus how about placing new and weird spawn locations. Maybe instead of an entire team together individually place Spartans in crazy areas. Feed back please and new ideas to discuss. Let me know if you want to hook up in Slayer sometime.

Maybe from a pure “numbers” standpoint… but you cannot deny that many of these maps feel very similar, even where a large percentage of map geometry was used to complete another.
Simply put, a lot of these maps (not all) offer similar experiences and don’t change up gameplay all that much. The game starts to feel stale pretty quickly and the map rotation ratios don’t help either… feels like nearly 40% of my games STILL end up on Mercy.
Quick side note… how could ANYONE be opposed to more maps? Boggles my mind… Of course, I realize the development side of it, but they could incorporate some unique, fan-made Forge maps. ANYTHING to give this game more legs…
I mean, they’re SITTING on Ghost in the Shell and classic remakes (scaled for Spartan Abilities) right now… at THIS. VERY. MOMENT.
…and they’re doing nothing about it. We know this, that they have maps that are tested for MM, that they could incorporate RIGHT NOW… but they don’t. They probably even have more that are slipping my mind right now. They could incorporate those Doubles maps into that playlist as well. It blows my mind how feedback gets misinterpreted.
<em>343 incorporates -ONLY- Forge maps into Doubles…</em> The community says, “We want dev maps!” So 6 months later (when it’s already too late)… we get dev maps, and the nice little Forge maps (which they’re was nothing inherently wrong with them), just go back into hiding, as if they never existed.
All people want is a TRADITIONAL experience FIRST! Doubles was always set on dev maps… after that, THEN add whatever (we never asked for them to go away), but all of this changing formula for no reason NEEDS to stop. It’s been slowly killing Halo for years. It has happened in nearly every facet of the game. One Halo game will do something wrong and will correct it the next game, then something that was done correctly (in formula) the first time, will be completely changed and wrong in the next!
Absolutely boggles my mind man…

Ya, I was upset that there wasn’t any BTB dev maps for Halo 5.
