The new map is narrows (or a look-a-like) shown in Return of the Forerunners vidoc goto 7:02. What do you guys think?
It does resemble Narrows, but the fact there are Covenant on it leads me to think it isn’t a multiplayer map.
David Ellis has said that it isn’t.
it does look like narrows but MC is fighting Knights… unless they took the map out of the campaign…
That ViDoc was pretty much entirely on Campaign/Spartan Ops. I don’t think its a multiplayer map.
They usually take all there maps out of the campaign anyways…
> They usually take all there maps out of the campaign anyways…
Only Reach did that.
And 343i has already said that all their maps are purpose bulit for multiplayer, and will not be sharing spaces with the campaign.
> They usually take all there maps out of the campaign anyways…
Not really. Reach did, but even then I think it was the other way around.
> They usually take all there maps out of the campaign anyways…
Actually, that’s a recent trend. The first three Halo games all had maps that were standalone arenas that never show up in the Campaign.
That, and obviously Forge World maps aren’t in the single-player mode either.
Nope nope nope. If it’s narrows, I will be very dissapointed.

We are absolute creating multiplayer levels from scratch.
Frankie seems to just disagree with you there.
Yeah forget my post about the campaign forgot only the worst halo game ever (other than halo wars) did that idea. but you never know? it looks very much like narrows though, and i hope it becomes a multiplayer map cause that was in my top 3 maps in halo 3

That was completely unnecessary.

Not true. Ex. Death Island.

Well, Reach was the first one to fully take all campaign spaces into multiplayer.
There were more campaign inspired maps in past games, but pretty much none were basically exact copies from the campaign.

The maps were build for multiplayer and then they were put into the Campaign as well, not the other way around.

It’s just a bridge in the campaign.
There are Covenant on it, something that multiplayer will not have.
Something people seem to not have noticed. That’s a Halo 4 prototype proof of concept. It has Reach’s HUD, and a gun that will not be featured in the game. That part of the video, while interesting, is not associated with the final product in very many ways, if at all. So, no, it will not be Narrows, even if it is Narrows in that video.
First, NO, maybe there’s a narrows inspired part of the campaign or Spartan Ops missions, not MP, there is AIs on that map, so it’s either one of those or a Test map, nothing more.
Second, it is true that Death Island is inspired from a level in Halo CE.
Third, any thing in the Alpha Halo 4 / Halo 4 Prototype clips should be taken as grains of salt, just because it’s there doesn’t mean it’ll be there in the final build of Halo 4. Halo 2 had a BR that had burst unscoped, and semi when scoped, and yet in Halo 2’s release build, that BR wasn’t there, but replaced with the POS allthetimeburst BR.
