It seemed to play well from what I saw too. I just hope they add a bit more detail to the map to make it look a little less like a Forge map.
My only complaint about the Pit is that it was teased. 343 shouldn’t have said anything, because one forge map is not even close to “world premier” status worthy.
I also don’t mind the purple, but instead of the whole map it should br purple base and yellow base. Then you get some new and some nostalgia
Frankly, I’m not surprised. I’ve long moved on to other games by now. Glad I picked up Foxhole and Factorio when I did. I feel like one of the civilians who got on the last helicopter out of Saigon in '72.
I’ll always love Halo though. Something as crucial to defining me as the Halo universe did doesn’t fade away easily, if at all. I’m only 17, I still have a full life ahead of me. No point in spending time on a product that is incomplete. Should a renaissance happen like I dreamed, I will return with open arms.

You’re just needlessly gate keeping your maps from new players and players who are very social and almost not competitive at all.
You’re probably also guaranteeing none of your maps could ever get put into match making and missing out on whatever armor goodie thet end up giving out. Boys backfill in social, so purposefully making maps incompatible with your maps is negatively impacting yourself more than anyone else even.
Seems self defeating when the feature looked mostly automated anyway
Sorry but I could care less about matchmaking. I really don’t like playing STOCK MAPS! I play Custom Games Only!. So I really don’t care is any of my maps get into matchmaking since I don’t play matchmaking.
I have modded maps since Halo Combat Evolved IE: Removing All The soft and kill barriers in any map I wanted to to make the map more interesting. I ran My Halo Combat Evolved Server for 7 Years. It was called "Rocket -hores World Server. If people like my maps that’s great. If not that’s ok too.
I mod my maps just too have fun That’s It. No sweaty game play or any of that crap or any big competition type gameplay. It’s just for fun.
Here is just “SOME” of the stuff I put in my maps:
- All the weapons in the map will be at your base. Respawn time set at 60 seconds.
- All spawns and respawn will be at your base no more spawning in the middle of the map.
- All Vehicles will be at your base. respawn time set at 90 seconds
- I already have 4 mods ready for Halo Infinite as soon and I get forge. IE: Auto Refill Ammo Box, Zip lines ( to zip across those big BTB maps, Ejection Seat for Vehicles and more coming.
- Stupid Friendly Fire Is “ALWAYS TURNED OFF!!”
- No BOTS IN MY MAPS PERIOD!
So that’s about it. I really can’t really express anymore how much I love playing Custom Games only. It is what it is.

I don’t think he understands what we’re saying at all.
The good: Hey a classic map coming back.
The bad: Another 3 laned 4v4 MP map. Yay, a map that plays like all the others.
I love that @HozerDude comes in with completely misunderstanding the point about a “need” for bot support in stock maps and keeps saying how he likes to play maps, missing the point entirely despite the number of times @KCD0DGER tries to clear things up.
And then you got the anti social people who think that a map without bot support is gatekeeping. As if the last 20+ years of Halo custom games were somehow lacking by not having bots. Ignoring the fact that a large number of custom game modes would not work with bots, traditionally custom games have been a mostly casual social event for the community to play with each other and have been open to all players.
Personally I think some game modes could use Bots, if the bots were smart. But considering exactly how utterly dumb the bots are in this game IDK how anyone sees their addition as a plus. All they do is stand there and let you kill them. Even in the forge showcase, the bots were not putting up a fight.
Personally, I feel like friendly fire being off is the worst part of his custom games and infinite’s MP.
Another Pit remake made in forge. Just what we needed…
I get that the Pit is Halo’s nuketown. But why remake it in forge? why not do a proper dev built from certain affinity.
Also not sure why only pit, sanctuary and midship are the only remakes ever considered. There’s plenty of other high quality maps that should be making the cut.
Turf (H2) with grappleshots would go hard! BTB Slayer on this small map would go even harder!
we really need to get the point across to him, I could care less about matchmaking but still have bots. also, has he directley answered our question of whyy like… is it timewasting, or do you hate people with no friends that much, really, i want to know

Bots will not be able to play games of duck hunt, or Griff ball, probably not infection either. Nearly every action sack type game would need bots disabled. They can’t even play ctf effectively, and they are programmed specifically for arena modes.
This is just my Halo Waypoint experience in general tbh.
Truly, our minds are boggled.

I actually don’t believe that! I feel like bots might do pretty well at Duck Hunt.
As a kid we would play custom game BTB lobbies on Turf. 8v8 and then we’d play original infection on the map too. Loads and loads of chaos and fun!
I’ve been wondering this same thing and I think it’s because of how powerful Forge engine system is? But with that logic, why isn’t every map created just via Forge?
I would love to see more older maps brought back such as Ivory Tower and Burial Grounds. Those classic 4v4 1 Flag CTF games.

Here’s to hoping. I figure that with the right both pathing and scripting it should be doable but very predictable.
I beleive you can suggest/ tell bots places to go and it is pretty effective to my knowledge. I just hope no one remmakes a Fortnite POI…Here, just “Heart” this if you wont and put a “thats bait” if you will

Granted bots are a little dumber In terms of the jump and avoid dying aspect of it. Like running into a cannon man and being sent into space. Their programming only thinks that it’s a way to get to a vantage point. So they’ll jump ship and hightail it outa there. Unlike human players who can tell it’s a trap/obstacle that’ll render you dead for the rest of the round.
Doesnt mean they cant play… also you can make a command: JUMP UP HERE so you could put that everywhere so they never stop jumping

I’m sure they’ll have script “volumes” of sorts so they know where they can go. But like I said in a previous post they’re not as smart as an actual player they can’t tell if something is a trap or not. So they’ll happily go die. But there’s also the factor that you get to the end to win in order to kill the sniper, the bots don’t know that so they’ll just wander like headless ducks (pun intended)
Granted the wandering part is probably good as a distraction for sure. If the sniper is preoccupied with a bot and you can move forward.
The other issue is their programming keep them from noticing traps like the cannon man to send you into space. As stated in a previous post they’ll think it’s a way to get to a “vantage point” and not a thingy that’ll send you to your doom.
