No no you severely misunderstand. It’s a fun, great map. But it is terrible for balance. Those open sightlanes suck for it, you can’t hardly get away with putting scorpions on it - Ye Gods could you imagine Wasps on there these days? Hoh. That’d be rough. Snipers dominate, especially with how much vehicle damage they do.
It’d just be no good for balance. Valhalla was strictly a superior map to Blood Gulch but sadly didn’t… really had the charm of its predecessor.
But you misunderstand me. I LOVE Blood Gulch. It’s FUN. I like how crud it is. I like how its variations all introduce new horrid little problems. In my opinion, Hemorrhage was the best variant solely because it had wraiths instead of Scorpions and oho boy, my old clan and I, we used an indirect fire strategy with the Wraith and Revanant to saturate the enemy base with mortar fire. They really had no clue what to do like, ever.
Buuuuuuut Balance wise that’s… Kinda’ the issue. It was a one sided fight for whoever got the advantage early on. You could suppress Snipers easily, a good warthog could dominate the enemy base by literally just driving around it, and if you had the tank, that was it man.
His channel got hot because he was always one of the first to get news about leaks and dev insider insights into launch.
And then completely went away from that for some reason

Has anyone gotten any news if the map is sticking with the purple vibe or going back to the classic yellow?
I still don’t understand why they didn’t just make one base have purple aesthetic and one base have yellow. Then you get distinct map side callouts, you get to hit us with nostalgia, and you would also have a slight refreshed look all at the same time

I dunno’. Nobody seems to know what’s up. Personally I don’t hate the purple but would have preferred a warmer, maybe orange palette like someone edited on Twitter. But it’s genuinely fine - it’s clearly taking place atop a skyscraper.
One that forgot what OSHA was lmao.

For real it’s customary to make it an obligation for the map to be in the game. For one red vs blue culture. Two. It’s just the OG and we all know that.
Btw. KC & drad my Xbox has bit the dust. I can’t talk there anymore, Oldie just quit not too long ago so I gotta go get a new console, or repair it I don’t know I’ll see. Granted that old thing I’ve had since it was brand new. It’s an Xbox one original.

How did you go about fixing gulch?
H2As bloodline and h3s valhalla are far better designed and balanced but gulch itself is sort of inherently a mess.
Nit that its an issue when its a stage in a party game.
Its literally battlefield from smash in that sense.
Anyone have an update about when we are getting The Pit since we only have 3 more days of November left ?

This map (Blood Gulch) better come into a BTB forge inspired playlist! I absolutely loved playing that map as a kid. Little 2v2 on one screen action!
Well they did say targeting. I was hoping it’d be this month but I guess something came up. Kinda’ disappointing but it… is what it is.

I don’t know whose fault it was, and I support workers whole heartedly, but there was nothing well deserved for how this game launched, nor where it is now!
