Yeah I know, WE’LL GET THE MOTHA EFFIN WASP AND A GRUNY GOBLIN HELL YEAH WE DID IT!!! But have you noticed that there’s a new map? Very green and with water falls.

Who says that there can’t be green on Sanghelios? This isn’t Star Wars, planets tend to have more than one different environment on them. Just like Earth : we have deserts, tundra, rain forests, etc.

Yeah, but we only explored a small part of Sangheilios in the campaign. That’s like saying that Earth is all desert, because that’s what we saw in Halo 2, 3 and ODST.

Sanghelios was confirmed many, many years ago to have lush environments. Even the environments we explored in Halo 5: Guardians had quite a few bushes and trees. From Halo: Evolutions to the Halo Encyclopedia, Sanghelios is not just a single desert.

As the final nail in the argument, NOTICE there are Sangheili ruins in the background of the image.

I’m with you there^. Planets that sustain life usually have different biomes (Desert, Tundra, Forest… Etc.). I don’t know if it is Sanghelios or not, but my guess is that it is based off of the two concept art pieces we were given in the last community update. There are statues of elites in one, and a pic of Locke inside a structure of the Sanghelios that we all recognize. All of this points to the homeworld of the Elites, Sanghelios.

So this is what I think we are getting:
WZ + Firefight = Green Sanghelios Map
WZ Assault = Prospect - Mining facility on Meridian. Probably making up for the fact that Dark Star didn’t get an assault variant.
Arena - Rig Remix - This is speculation, but it looks like there is lava or something, which points back to an old concept piece they put out in a community update months ago.

All the images with the Grunt Goblin is also what they are referring to, but I would like to emphasize on this image.

Look behind the Goblin, notice the stone architect that looks very Sangheli? It’s because the map is (most likely) on Sanghelios. My biggest thing is why there are human bases built on Sanghelios. The Human/Sangheli relationship is still very shaky, and I doubt that they would allow human bases on their planet.
