Hey guys, I think Halo 4 should have some experimental maps that branch out from the Halo Reach-ish style maps like Spire and Powerhouse. I think 343 should make a large, open map with a bunch of small islands, that is navigated using man cannons. There is a map like this in another game, called UberStrike, which can be very unbalanced and laggy, but some of the maps are pretty cool. I’m not saying Paradise Islands should be a complete rip-off of this map, but it should be influenced by the map from UberStrike, which is called LOst Paradise 2. Sure I agree with a non-conventional approach to H4 maps, but a playspace only traversable via man cannons seems like a bad idea.
Yeah, other parts only accessibly via man cannons could pose problems, but it’s a cool idea. I’m all for bigger, asymetrical maps, always more to do and less predictable.

Speaking of islands, I wouldn’t mind a map kinda like the island of the Silent Cartographer. I love that tropical setting. Imagine the Cartographer island with more routes inland and some small buildings scattered around and a big one in the centre. red and blue bases will be on opposite sides of the island, it’d be a big team battle map with lots o’ vehicles :3

Thanks for the feedback guys, it was just a map idea. If it was ever put in Halo 4, it would probably look a little more dark and Halo-ish, with crashed Covenant ships and the like. I know this, but some of the cannons woud be removed, and this map could be good for competitive players.
