New map Empyrean isn't as bad as people made it out to be

Maybe it looked worse when it was revealed. But the map is easy to look at and scaled pretty well for a The Pit Remake in forge.

I say my only problem that even if its still easy to look at, I rather not look at purple. Maybe have a different color glow… probably green looks better for for a neon cyber look–

I had the same thought. Idk if it has been touched up since it’s reveal, but it looks better now than it did then imho.

It looks brighter than what they originally showed and isn’t as hard purple lit so they might have done some work to it before releasing it. I will say that I’m not a fan of the back side of the map being open instead of having a fence wall or something. Having that entire section be open and a constant danger of falling off is a little much considering it has absolutely no railing. Way too easy to get launched off with a repulsor or just side stepping shots and fall off.

I like how it looks now as opposed to when they originally showed off. My only complaint is it lacks the higher level rooms. I know they were supposed to be inaccessible during match making, but I was obsessed with getting up there, and put as much as I could there in forge. I really wish this version had the rooms. But oh well, still a good remake.

I like it. Nice to get some more maps into the game. And I appreciate them featuring the map with its own temporary event playlist.

I look forward to hopping on and running some games on the new map with with update. I’m pretty excited it’ll be added into ranked for hcs season 2.

I think its great I have been having a ton of fun playing on it. The purple glow looks very cool to me a cool twist on its palette since the H3 pit was a UNSC base theme

No issues with the map at the moment. I hope they do Halo 5 Plaza next. Need dem Cyberpunky maps with glowy lights, rain and noodles.

Empyrean is a great map except for one problem…FFA MODES SPAWNS YOU OUTSIDE THE MAP TO YOUR DEATH MAKING IT UNPLAYABLE!!!

Yea I like that feature too, can easily get a feel for the map when it’s in it’s own rotation. Also it is a good color scheme and it’s easy to navigate. Definitely a good addition.

Yeah, it looks and plays amazingly. Easily my… second favorite map in the game. Because I REAAAALLY love Live Fire, haha.
