New Lockout remake dynamic feature

I was wondering what kind of feature this map was going to have, like zeniths dome shield, so i was looking at the pictures to see if i could spot anything. On the picture that is from S2 looking out at the rest of the map i noticed the opening on S2 had a nice solid shape under the snow that no other opening has. Maybe something pops up out of it?

I don’t know. any other theories?

I’d imagine that players can break that window in the floor in the middle of the map. Or activate a switch that opens it.

I was thinking that too, but i also think 343 would do something more flashy than just open and close the top mid window.

It was said that the dynamic element helps to counter camping. The worst camping spot on lockout was bottom mid so Id say it is definitely the newly introduced energy shield where the glass used to be. Let’s people drop in.

It could have something to do with those life forms we saw in shotgun.

343 has done small changes like the lifts on Shrine. So I don’t think it would be lifting up from Shotgun or breaking the glass to fall down into the lower room.

Besides, it’d get annoying having a flimsy cover that can open up by little damage. Having to jump over it so you don’t fall down.

My mouth would just drop, if an interaction allowed for the release of the creatures in Cryogenic tubes.

If there was AI on the map it would break the game. As much as I wish the Flood could attack the player, I highly doubt that they will.

Yeah… without proper nav-meshes, (which wouldn’t work with Forge due to how the player manipulates the map’s structure and wouldn’t be able to reapply the nav-mesh without diving headlong into a Kill Ball from having to do such a tedious task with a console controller) any on-map AI would literately become vegetables.

Would be a funny way to troll someone making there way to shotgun. “Release the flood!” clash of titan voice

Yeah I know shrine has water fall. I was just saying how there are changes that aren’t interactive, like the lifts from shotgun spawn. I’m expecting 343 to something more flashy then opening top mid… and having a lift button or a constant destructible barrier there…

There are green lights at pretty much all the bases. What do you think that could be? maybe it is just lighting but I’m trying to speculate.

Probably some form of radiation, i dunno I associate eerie green with radioactive gamma flair. It makes the compound an unnerving place, in a good way.

Maybe you can shoot those green containment tubes and release some toxic gas, that’d probably deter campers.

I kinda like the falling ice as a dynamic element. It’ll change the flow of the map a bit, but overall it shouldn’t change it up too much.

I just watched the vid, It seems like it could be okay. I wonder if the only rocks your able to shoot are above b3

The video started out with a Destiny trailer. Irony.

Anyway, that seems a little unfair, given that play usually focuses around the two towers and it’s Sniper Tower that always held the advantage. Not sure why they needed another one… Ah well, it’ll be removable in forge if we really don’t like it. Hopefully it’s not too gameplay impacting.

It’s really difficult to shoot people at BR3, so I really like the ability to bring down destruction to anyone camping there.
