Ave, I am Major General Ubermensch of the Empire of the Onyx Shield. I am here to extend a formal invitation to join our empire; we are a militaristic clan for the most part however we do have a casual sect. if you wish to just party up and have fun. We also encourage “role play” across the whole “clan” as we are currently working on a “clan” machinima (more information below). We have four main parts to our military that will be listed below:
Army - Which is split into three categories: Onyx Levies (part-time military members), Onyx Legionnaires (Full-time Military members: Ranks from Second Lieutenant - Lieutenant Colonel) and Onyx Centurions (Full-time military members/ High ranking Army Officials: Ranks from Brigadier to Field Marshal).
Air Force - Which is split into two categories: Onyx Legionnaire Pilots (Full-time Military members: Ranks from Pilot Officer - Group Captain) and Onyx Air Force Commanders (Full-time Military members/ High rank Air Force Officials).
Navy - Which is split into two categories: Onyx Legionnaire Sailors (Part-time/ Full-time Military members: Ranks from Acting sub lieutenant - Commander) and Onyx Naval Officials (Captain {Naval} - Admiral of the fleet/s).
Onyx Shield Special Forces Agency (OSSF Agency) - Which is closed information.
We also have “Cohorts” that only play arena for those Onyx and Champion medals. There is no requirements to be apart of these Cohorts (With the exception of those that will be listed below). There is also a Cohort for War Zone. The social playlist does not require anything and we don’t care if you play them or not (As long as it doesn’t interfere with “clan” duties if you are in the active military) Each member can join in the “clan” machinima and/ or help set it up, forge maps and/or film it.
For people who like to be on the “diplomatic” side of things you may wish to join our Government. Ministers of our Government have a wide range of role that include but not limited to: Alliance forging, Recruitment, Law making, Representation of members in your timezone, news & other information and law and justice. Ministers are not bound to wear a set armour (with the few notable exception/s).In case you haven’t picked it up yet, the Empire of the Onyx Shield is inspired by both early and late Roman Empires (which means the armours we encourage is the Roman/ Greek themes ones I.e Legionnaire, Centurion, War Master, Etc.). And yes, we go have a government which runs diplomacy, law making and justice; you can request to become apart of the government (more information upon joining). Yes we do have requirements to join our “clan” and they are:

- Must be able to tell right from wrong - Must be able to reason - Must be active for most of the week (within reason) - Must have a basic comprehension of the English Language (able to speak, read and write English) - Must tell us your basic location and time zone so you will be placed with member close to youAnything else we need can be sorted out after you join. Furthermore, to be a official member of this Empire you Must take a loyalty Oath, its a simple oath and can only be done by a approved members. Before taking the oath we will answer any and all questions you may have. If you feel you are unworthy in joining us but will still like to be in friendly relations with us, you can join of the Onyx Sovereign’s (not actual GT & is the ruler of the clan) Bannerman clan:

Epsilon Fleet is still yet to engage with us as they now refuse to organise an Honourable RoE system; there are theories as to why but there is no need to list them. For their sake. We have reason to believe That Epsilon Fleet does not tell their members about this war as many of their members claim they know nothing. Whether this is true or not is still yet to be confirmed. 12th June 2016: Epsilon Fleet’s leader has finally taken more steps to organise an honourable RoE with us. Limited time: Chance to be rapidly promoted within the military by complete a few minor tasks. Promotions will go as high as Lieutenant colonel. More information upon joining. A new legion is being formed due to the last one (Legion V) been filled up, Legions organise the “bulk” of our military with Cohorts been like every other clan’s squads. You can join Legion I-V if a position opens up. The first 5 People to join Legion VI will be given leadership roles and will be able to host training sessions, so hurry before you miss it as these positions do go quickly.As for the people who wish to be apart of the “casual side of things”, we do have game nights, forge offs, achievement hunt and other thing like that. We are going for Achilles to fit in with the Roman/Greek theme. We also have branches in other games such as GTA 5, COD, Gears of War, World of Tanks, Neverwinter; these games are apart of the game night roster.
As for the clan machinima, you Must be a member of the Empire or a bannerman. As of late many members have been creating their own backstory which will be feature in the machinima. The positions in the machinima that you can choose to participate in are:
- Body Acting - Voice Acting - Filming - Audio and Lighting - Script writing - Directing - ForgingThere is no real limit to any of these roles as the whole “clan” is producing this machinima and with hopes many future ones.
