I’m on my iPad right now, and I can’t edit, quote, or thank becaus the options simply aren’t there. If I recall correctly, they appear when your cursor is on a post, but it doesn’t work for mobile devices.
Try tapping where the icons should be, I heard they popup!
I was just on a moblie device, but I was’nt signed in. So I don’t know of these problems, at least not yet.
But man, I am loving this layout otherwise.

I can confirm this.
I had this problem a few minutes ago, but a handy and accessable menu option came up beneath the documents giving all the options.

I wish the quote, thank and other options were there by default, I don’t like having to click two things in order to quote someone, compared to the previous iteration of the forums which had a one click quote button.
