I think it’s the plasma launcher. We already know it is in halo 5, and it seemed almost complete then.

Do you think the plasma launcher is viable land to air? I have never tried to shoot an air object with one because I thought it didn’t have the range.
I think it’ll be some kind of turret. It talks about “hauling” around the weapon, and from what I’ve seen the only weapons SPARTAN-IVs can’t sprint with would be the turrets. Since they describe it as adept at taking down Wasps, Banshees, and Phaetons, which are all airborne vehicles, it will likely have a homing ability.
It could also be some kind of rocket launcher variant, or even railgun. I think it has to be a heavy weapon as you wouldn’t describe carrying a battle rifle “hauling around a BR.” Still, it talks about an Ultra Rare variant of the new weapon, so it’s probably something never before seen. Either way I’m excited.

Maybe just the ultra rare variant, because he said the ultra rare one was good at taking out air vehicles.

Wait… It’s actually… An atomic holocost coming in all variants and they boosted the req meter by 11 because it’s a req level 20. Either that, or it’s the iron giant which would be a level 20 as well
I saw somewhere in another thread that it was “confirmed” not to be the plasma launcher. I would like to see some single shot shoulder held gauss weapon. Oooh or the Grenada launcher from reach.

Well that is true but design wise and soundwise i prefer the missile turret. Also it is mostly always used to target air objects like in h3 unlike the rocket turret.
