This is the second big screw up I have seen 343 make. The first one being the new legendary emblem.
I’m kinda getting used to the jackal now (even tho the game isn’t even released?) and it looks kinda bad -Yoink!-

Hey! Remember E3, when everyone saw the new Jackal look, and no one complained about it? Good times.
They actually looks like what the books make them out to be: fearsome, cruel aliens.
Guys in contact harvest it specifically states several times that jackals look like lizards, not birds! I think all the aliens look way more alien and intimidating now.

The Jackal has always gone through DRASTIC iterations, EVEN when Bungie owned the Halo franchise.
Honestly at this point I’m not surprised.
They look good, the more intimidating the better.
sigh Again. This change has no affect whatsoever on gameplay. It’s just an aesthetic change, a.k.a., nothing to fret over, like John’s upgraded armor. In my opinion? These look more like what Jackals are SUPPOSED to be. Like forty4dragon said, they’re supposed to resemble lizards. They definitely have avian features, but ultimately they’re meant to look far more lizard-like.
So… yeah. I don’t understand what the problem is, and it upsets me that I have to say that so much on these forums.
I thought of that when they first showed up…this thread wasn’t necessary 
I miss the non-mutated and normal looking Jackals.
Is that supposed to be a bad thing?

I shall call it Mr Nibbles. Lol, anyways i like the new style that 343i has done they have kind of made it their own instead of copy and pasting from past work.
Looks like a badass to me.

The Legendary emblem is one thing but when i saw the Jackals, i didn’t rage over the keyboard.
