Looks like it could be a promethean weapon, possibly a grenade.

It does look promethean in origin.
Apparently the pulse grenade has a EMP functionality. I’m guessing it disables vehicles with the addition of draining shields.

Its interesting how 343i is converting pretty much all the Equipment from Halo 3 into balanced (so far) AAs. Regeneration Field (when we see it), now this pulse grenade, Auto Sentry, and I’m assuming the radar scrambler is still in Active Camo.
Seems like the power-drain-thing from Halo 3!
Gotta say, Pulse Grenade sounds a lot better than EMP or Promethean Grenade does.
The Pulse Grenade kind of reminds me of the bombs from Star Fox

I cant wait to throw these grenades at a banshee. Maybe the banshee will fall down to the grownd so I can hop in :F
If its effects are indeed EMP< I can see some problems in it. BUt as long as its duration is shorter then that of halo 3’s energy drain, then it shouldn’t be a problem. It also most likely doesn’t activate until impact, so no throwing it in a lift at your opponent.
And since its EMP, it would most likely o no actual damage to someone, so if somebody chose this in their loadout then they would have to sacrifice the ability to bounce grenades around corners or sticking enemies to get kill. Its more of an assist grenade than a damaging one.
Looks like it will have some real tactical uses.
Perhaps it will also pull aircraft, and other vehicles into it.
