Looks good. About time for something new.
Does anyone know if any of the forge maps involve Spartans being the Attackers though? It’s a nice twist and would be a shame if Spire ends up being the only map ever like that.

Gameplay > Aesthetics but it’s difficult to know how a map is going to play by looking at some segments of film. Spire looks pretty decent by tier 1 doesn’t play well as the elites just camp on rocks with needle-rifles making it far too easy to defend. The banshee is also massively exposed which allows the Spartans to steal it with relative ease and when that happens the Elites usually lose.
I wasn’t going by looks, I was looking at how the games seemed to flow. From how the maps seemed set up and how the few segments of gameplay proceeded, no map looked particularly stunning.
Of course, I can’t say for certain whether or not they’re really any good, and more maps are always better than sticking with Boneryard or Spire forever, but more bad maps is not an improvement.
Thats the same thing i thought about the new infection maps

If you guys are not happy with free awesome new maps, well, I’m sorry.
You can always go into invasion with a party and vote boneyard each round…
Personally, I think this is one of the best things that have happened to reach, and i’m glad I can play invasion again.

I was in lobbies that were testing them, they were pretty meh.

Unfortunately, the elite defense maps were not ready at the time of submission. But if all goes well, and the first four maps are met with a positive reception, we may be given a chance to throw in some more elite defense!
So go play these maps and tell us where to improve!

WQait, Summit by MEtaWaddleDee didn’t make the cut?WHY?the mpa may be have its evironments too not spaced out, but it was a good map…

It may have been in your opinion but in the MM Team’s eyes, maybe not.
It is likely more could be added in the future, Summit could be a possibility.

Please read this topic: Please do not add title update to Invasion, it explains why the TU doesn’t need to be added to Invasion and how it would break the inbalance already in Invasion.
I’d rather not go through this over again, by the end of it you will still disagree with me and I dont have time to go back and forth forever… If you really want an explanation, HWM Sarge explained it VERY clearly a while back. Feel free to go find that post and comment there.
If you have no interest in searching for that post, then let’s just agree to disagree until H4 comes out…
As for Summit:
This map never even made it to CC’s(as far as i know) as the gameplay is extremely broken. The map was designed for a custom gametype, which is less than desireable. Moreover, I don’t think metawaddle posted anywhere to have the map tested for refining…

summit doesn’t conform to any of the invasion standards, thats why.

As a reply to both and Moa, ill look at that thread…
As for Summit the reason i wanted that in invasion is because of its gameply…
as you engae CQB combat with the enemy in 1st phase,2nd phase is a little less CQB and such,and by the 3rd pahse, you skydive to the objective with some vehicle play…you can see why i wanted it in invasion as it changes gameplay enviornments good, especially the skydive.
(EDIT:Looked at the thread…what he explains is a pretty good explanation…changed how I thought about TU in invasion…)
