Playable elites?

Well I wouldn’t mind more races being playable with different maps having different themes. Like spartan v elites on a remade reach map or having elites v brutes on a high charity style map. Even elites v elites where it’s the swords of sanghelios vs the storm faction. More races means the matches could be more varied and even having a multi faction team against another like Spartans and elites against promethean’s.
This also means weapons need to be balanced in a way that they fit similar roles to equal each faction. For example the AR as a standard rifle for the Spartans the Plasma Repeater could be for the elites (converting the storm rifle to equate to the SAW or something) and the spiker for brutes. You get the idea. (I could go all day about weapons)
Species would also need to be balanced in some way to compensate size and loadout disadvantages. In Halo Reach elites could take more damage, move faster and jump higher, as well as faster recharge rates and this was balanced because they had a harder time aiming as their weapons were mostly projectile over the hitscan of the unsc weapons as well as being easier to hit due to their size. For Halo infinite opposing species could be limited to invasion meaning arena will only be the same species in the match. Warzone could also allow alternate species but limit the loadout to the factions weapons only except power weapons

Great Idea Spartan !
Invasion is my favorite game type so I’m all for it coming back.
Invasion was never my favorite gametype, unless they manage to make the Brutes HAVE a role, so…
Hey the more species and factions the better, but it’s still gotta be faction vs faction for me that was one of the main appeals.
Invasion was and still is my favorite gamemode in the series. Having brutes/Banished as a extra faction would be cool, but (if 343 ended up bringing Invasion back) I would prefer for the devs to just stick with UNSC/Spartans and Covenant(Created?)/Elites. Brutes are WAY more bulky than Spartans or Elites and thus you would have to tweak the hell out of how they play: they would need way more health to compensate for how easy of a target they are, for example. That is not even mentioning how Halo:Infinite Invasion would have a completely different core design to Reach Invasion (no more loadouts/armor abilities). Start off small and simple(ish) with where we last left off. Then you can start thinking about expanding the scope of the gamemode.
