At about 5:42 Frankie talks about MJOLNIR armour and says ‘From Mark 2 to…oh, nearly gave a secret away there’
From that we can safely assume that either Chief gets Mark VII armour (officially), it is in the game in some capacity, or Frankie was bluffing.
Again, this is most likely old, but I hadn’t seen it posted here at any point and thought some people might be interested.
He also says that ‘…solving for matchmaking, solving for skill approximation are all things Halo 2 did really well’ this could lend some creedence to arguments for the return to a Halo 2 style ranking system. Although obviously not an official statement, he seems to recognize that Halo 2 did it well and that could insinuate that, that style of matchmaking could return.
^ All speculation though, obviously.
I think the “new” armor he is wearing is the New Mark or the prototype Mark VI

Isn’t Master Chief armor the same old Mjolnir Mark model but with new visual? Last I heard it was that.

Well this is what I was thinking. All I’ve heard is that Cortana ‘upgraded’ his armour while he was in cryosleep, which wouldn’t make it Mark VII, just improved Mark VI. So it is probably more likely the Spartan IVs are the ones who have the new armour.

It’s related to Glasslands, which in turn (as stated by Frankie) is related to Halo 4; so if only by proxy, it is.
He said he ‘may have’ survived, so I guess they’re keeping schtum on that one.

Cortana upgraded his firmware, not his actual armor.
And the video is likely referring to the Spartan VI’s who do have different armor from Chief’s. Those are likely Mk. VII’s.
When i watched gameplay I noticed those old scratches were still there. This implies it’s just revisions rather than new armor.

I wasn’t suggesting she gave him new armour, that was the whole point. She just upgraded his armour, the omission of the word ‘firmware’ I suppose made it confusing.
The Spartan IIIs didn’t get new armour though? So why the Spartan IVs? Aren’t they essentially from the same demographic?

Is everyone suddenly forgetting Mark 7?
As seen in glasslands? I doubt it is referring to spartan 4 armor. He didnt mention mark 7 and mark 7 is worn by Naomi

343i still not explained how MC get the new armor or upgrades. Cortana just cant just simply redesign MC armor unless 343i retconed Cortana Abilities
