Who knows man. -Yoink!- is being very bizarre about this game, and allowed us to get abit more info by now. I wouldn’t hold my hopes up when they say “Soon”.
“Soon” can mean anything.
I’m trying to hold onto my patience here. I can go for a while, but can’t wait all the way until E3. And ‘soon’…they said that?
That could mean E3.
…riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.soon can mean anything. last time it meant 3 months
yeah i just thought it would be faster…
I thought so until yesterday, Phil Spencer tweeted there would be no big news until E3 https://twitter.com/XboxP3/status/443211319437582336

Well… hopefully we will still get ‘little’ news to ease the pain that is the wait for E3.

I need a bullet to bite on for the wait. =.=

after reading this tweet i dont even get the point of staying on the forums, not til june anyway when there will actually be something to talk about.
Well, this gives me hope that we won’t actually be getting Halo 5 until 2015 (yay!), and that the game’s real announcement will be at E3 this year. If Halo 5 was truly coming to us this fall, we would have had a name by now, if not more.
So what does that leave us for 2014? We know that a Halo game is being released this year. The only real option is Halo 2 Anniversary. Since we know that the game coming out this year will run at 60FPS and will have dedicated servers, it’s logical to assume that Halo 2 Anniversary will also come with multiplayer.
Alas, even if it is like Halo Anniversary, being mainly campaign, I’d still be happy. It’d be a good way to give us some good Halo while waiting for the next big game in the series.

I can see where you’re coming from with that statement…
BUT, if you take Pokemon X and Y for example, fans still barely knew anything about the game until it’s worldwide launch. So…yeah.

Much like Halo 4. We didn’t get any big answers until E3 then either.
What dya reckon guys an gals, think we’ll see anything tonight now Titanfall is out??
~ Duck.
EDIT: Nvm, sod all as always…dunno why I bother getting my hopes up and keeping the faith, -Yoink!- aren’t gonna let 343 say anything before E3…
It’s really starting to annoy me now. There’s sweet F.A to talk about on these forums except bad idea after bad idea (no offence guys an gals).
Seriously considering a break from here & just throwing myself into Titanfall and then Elder Scrolls Online until E3 =/
Come on -Yoink!-…let 343 share SOMETHING, you’re killing us.

It seems to me that at one point the name hasn’t been finalized yet and perhaps now it is but Microsoft wants to wait at the right time to announce it. There was always concept trailers like the e3 2006 h3 trailer that didn’t take place in the exact same area , but it took place similar too it. But there is a possible chance it maybe H2A

I dunno, we still knew a ton about Pokemon X/Y several months before its release. The Mega Evolutions, the new Fairy-type, new features like the Pokemon-Amie and horde battles…
Still, compare this to any other Halo game that was released. 343i said themselves that every Halo game typically has two E3s. Assuming that we are getting Halo 2 Anniversary this year (remember, it IS its 10 year anniversary), last year’s E3 would count as its first. And then, this year, we would have H2A’s second E3, and Halo 5’s first, making next year Halo 5’s release year and second E3.
Think about it, how much information did we get before E3 of its release year for Halo 1-4? A fair amount. By now, we saw the game, had some details, and were excited for its release and to see a final E3 trailer. But what about Halo Anniversary? For that, we had only a single E3 where we saw game info. But why? We already all know Halo 1, we don’t need a bunch of info drops telling us about new gameplay features and whatnot.
So H2A would follow a similar path. We all know about Halo 2, how it played, what’s great about it, so we really don’t need more than one true E3 demonstration of it. It just seems to fit the pattern to me.
But I won’t deny it, I could very well be wrong, and 343i could be releasing Halo 5 this year. The lack of information could be a response to people complaining about knowing far too much about Halo 4’s story before its release, and I can’t blame them, since I agree. If Halo 5 is truly coming out this year, I welcome the lack of story spoilers, but in the end, I would very much rather that 343i take their time with Halo 5 and release it in 2015.
This year will give us Halo 2 Anniversary, with Halo 5 beta access included. Some speculate that Halo 2’s MP component will be the Halo 5 beta. The next numbered game will be next year, I believe.

We got that Vidoc before E3, around this time. It gave us our first in-engine footage, and left us with enough information to satisfy until E3.
I won’t be surprised if Halo 2 Anniversary comes out this year, getting us ready for Halo 5.

But that’s all that vidoc did, give us some in-engine footage. It didn’t give us any big answers.

By this point, with Halo 4 we knew who the villain was, we had a concept art trailer, we had a 2 full length vidocs, one about the music complete with music samples, and one about the multiplayer complete with gameplay, and a GameInformer cover article that talked about the multiplayer and a little bit of the story, as well as the first mission.
By now with Halo 5? We have 1 concept art piece. That’s it. We don’t even have a title.
