New Info on campaign the and pics of the grunst and elites

This new Halo 4 information comes from a Dutch Magazine called Power Unlimited.

You can see what Frank O’Connor has to say about this information by clicking here.

The following information is for both the Halo 4 Campaign and Multiplayer:

  • Jackals are confirmed (no big suprise) and described as having a face that resembles “an evil crossbreed between a shark and an iguana”…expect loads of nasty teeth I guess?

  • Returning Covies in general are described as “fitting a survival-horror game as well”. Again: not a big suprise.

  • The UNSC Infinity will show up during the Campaign (guess we all expected that)

  • Matchmaking area of Infinity will be called “War Games”

  • BR is being described as “single shot” and DMR as “burst”….which is more than likely a mistake….Should be the other way around of course

  • Author states the multiplayer feels “f—ng amazing!”, after saying he didn’t really like Reach that much.

  • “Perks” seem to be called “Modifications”. Example given is that the author could carry (a few) more grenade(s).

  • Plasma Rifle has been replaced with what he personally calls the “Covenant Assault Rifle” which spews “a storm of blue balls”, and is described as “incredibly awesome”.
Which sounds like the Plasma Repeater in a better form of sorts to me.

  • He states the classic “chanting monks” tune WILL in fact be back, after rumours on these forums being concerned it wouldn’t return.

Good to find out its looking like Halo 4 will destroy COD.

Hm, I mean the Grunts/Elites look alright, I guess 343 wanted to make em seem more scary?

I don’t think your first link is working.

The grunt’s face looks like a Rancor from Star Wars.

THATS WHAT I THOUGHT! love the armor the head is just too big i think for me to like the actual grunt though…

I don’t really have a problem with the elites new appearance (other than the lack of armor on their arms) but I really don’t like the complete redesign of the grunts. Their faces are to… mehh…

That’s some delicious new info, even if it is a tiny bit. Great stuff.

Shame about the Plasma Rifle. Love that gun.

Even if these Mods aren’t asymmetrical powers and abilities, they still unbalance the game somewhat and I’d rather 343 drop them entirely.

Fantastic to know the monks are back (even if we knew that from the reveal trailer). Thus far, the music is still not something that has me convinced, bar the concept art trailer score.

Words can’t explain how stoked I am for the new Covenant. They give me such a weird uneasy feeling it is awesome! So demented and weird looking. I never thought the art direction would go the course it has gone. The campaign is going to be filled with amazing moments especially paired with the new Halo scores.

The reason for no armor on the arms is that the Elites you see are rebels. It’s hinted at when the Elite says in GI, “Take it up with them,” when talking about the Conevant. These Elites will probably mincemeat; except for that fully armored Assasin in GI. The lack of visors will mean 343 took out their HUDs, so perhaps they’d be kind to take out their AI functions that mean that they do…

WOW, that is amazing, although I am not digging the size of Grunt heads

Words cannot express my joy.

Actually, Cortana was the one who said “take it up with them.”

My theory is that the Covies are stranded on the sphere and cut off from the rest of the galaxy, which would explain the lack of arm armor (heh) and the fact that they still fight humans (they wouldn’t have gotten word that the war was over, or that the Covenant was dissolved).
