He very well could have taken that picture when he was younger. We don’t know how old he is. If it is indeed a date, it was taken 13 years after the start of the war.

not sure about the 33.RT9 but 6.3.39 sounds like, 6th march 2539 to me.

At the end of Halo: 5.
MC walks up into a Forerunner structure and looks around. He walks through the desolate hallways hearing only the sounds of eons old machinery. Suddenly, he is lifted off the ground and tossed into the wall. The person who grabs him is the Didact. The Didact floats over and his swag mask begins to take itself apart. Only, it isn’t the Didact’s mask, it is Putin!
I was thinking it is John’s home planet Eridanus II since the reporter is focusing on him, also possibly where Locke and Chief doing the whole to get to the end, start at the beginning thing. But yeah I got the feeling it was the same shot from the opening of the commercials. Also would be a great place for a statue of Master Chief.
