Keep a traditional trueskill 1-50 ranking system. But make it so that once you hit 50 you can prestige back to 1. (Oh no prestige is for COD!!! derp lols). This will show how many times you are able to get back to 50 and it will reduce boosting as many people won’t want to boost someone that many times.
Add in a credit or experience meter, similar to Reach and Halo 3 respectively, for the casual players that do not want to play as competitively.
I feel this would solve the problems with the old systems.
No. That defeats the purpose of a skill based ranking system.
Skill based ranking systems are there to make sure you play opponents of similar skill. Resetting them would defeat that purpose and make it so noobs are facing veterans way too often.

Ah I didn’t consider that. Nice catch. Im sure there could be some sort of work around where prestiged players could be kept at a level 50 trueskill and then based on some other form of rank afterwards.
