Until Halo Wars Halo lacked a Combat Knife. When Bungie made Halo Reach it introduced Assassinations, a new interesting way of kill AIs and players. Halo 5 bought a new assassination system. Picking a unique style to kill someone. I have new idea for assassinations that will add more skill to halo. Close Quarter Combat or CQC
When your behind a enemy player and he doesn’t see you, your first reaction would be to assassinate him. When you begin to assassinate him instead of him going down like a rag doll he can block the strike and both players will begin a fight (like Locke and the Chief) till one over comes the other.
I think this should be put into Halo because Spartans are Elite soldiers that fight to the death and shouldn’t go down like rag dolls. Even in the present now when a enemy is coming at a soldier with a knife the soldier will fight back. If a modern day soldier can do this than so should a spartan.
That would be way too long for it to be worth watching, though they do have a couple of “fighting” assassinations, but it’s mostly the person getting assassinated making one move then dying.
Good idea in concept, except I could see game delay and lag being a problem when players attempt to retaliate. And if to counter this you made it so you had more time to react, but then the assassinations would be to slow to be worth anything
I would have one where you sneak up behind a person and tap them on their left/right shoulder and then go the other way and then snap their neck or shank them or something… Havent come up with a name but description would be: got 'em good.
It’s definitely a fun and immersive idea, but in terms of gameplay it breaks the balance: at that rate, meleeing from the front would be better than doing so from the back and risking getting countered in CQC! Not to mention, more people would be inclined to turn off assassinations in favor of the classic Beat Downs, just to avoid having to win the struggle anyway.
If this is ever implemented in a future Halo, I imagine it’d only be in Warzone or a Social playlist.
