ok so if you ( like me ) are one of the people that hate Armour abilities or like them then listen to this.
instead of spawning with them they spawn at specific locations on the map like a sniper or shotgun would. so it would be like a kind of overkill weapon.
now i hated them because they were usually unbalanced and they were unlimited as in they would recharge.
so instead of them recharging they would have a certain amount of uses ( like ammo in a gun ) this way they could be like the overkill weapons like the sniper or shotgun and be allot more fair gameplay wise because everyone has a chance to get one in the game.
What do you think?
oh and if you don’t like it don’t hate just say what you would prefer instead.
I’ve been saying sort of the same thing to every rabid hater of the Armor Abilities I’ve encountered. The best solution to the supposed “problem” is a hybrid compromise of the Equipment and the AAs. I don’t like the idea of them all having limited use though.
I think that Active Camo should return to power up status, though I would make it more like the AA Active Camo by having you able to turn it on/off whenever you want as long as you “ammo” or whatever for it. I’d like Overshield to come back too, that was a fun ability, though I’d want it to be somewhat like I suggested above for Active Camo. It sure was annoying in Halo 3 to pick either of those two abilities up, and then never be able to use them because they ran out before I could really find anyone. So yeah, I think they should be made more like the AAs in the fact that you can activate them whenever you choose, but they should still be one use abilities.
Stuff like Spring or Evade should stay available on spawn I think and have unlimited use still, but everything else should be pickups on the map. That’s what I had thought would be the case with the AAs initially when I first heard about them with Reach. In any case it’d add a new level having to fight for them, a pleasant level of gameplay I think.
AAs aren’t that bad.
The problem is that you can spawn with them.
AL should be treaded like a PW and everything would go better.
Honestly I find the AAs a handy new thing, if 343i just listens to the competitive group of Halo Reach instead of the casuals and just made the AAs pickups then the game would play a whole lot different. Also bump up movement speed, and 85% bloom.
The game would go a lot faster and would play a bit like in H3.
I know the “hardc0re MLGz” will think otherwise, but from what i hear in game. Game-types without sprint have people missing it. (not missing AA’s, but missing sprint) once you get a great feature like it, its hard to go back.

I actually think you should not need an ability to sprint. You should be able to sprint without an ability and have a diffrent ability like jet pack to go with it.

YES
But that would involve changing the controls drastically
And i dont want to see people sprinting and jetpacking/bubbleshielding/ARMORLOCKING/yea
Your idea is several use personal equipment, which while it might not prove to be so bad, I’d much rather equipment just returned than AA’s try to be like equipment and likely fail.

In all honesty I think it’s just because in Reach you feel like you’re moving so slow without it. If movement speed was increased and larger maps had quick ways of moving about without a vehicle, the need/want for sprint would probably diminish greatly.
> Give it up people AA’s WILL be in halo 4 whether we like it or not. Mark my words.
Something related to them at least if the reveal trailer for Halo 4 is any indication. I think the possibility of something like the AAs returning is very strong, and that thought pleases me, as I really love the AAs and the other changes/additions that Reach brought to the Halo series.
