New: How to weld vehicles fast!

Traditional vehicle welding glitch method:

Step 1: Create your body surrounding your vehicle (ie banshee, warthog etc).

Step 2: Select your body pieces, including vehicle and group them together.

Step 3: Destroy the vehicle. Make sure it’s NOT the parent object.

Step 4: Weld body together before vehicle spawns

Step 5: Spawn the vehicle you destroyed. Set as parent

Step 6: Set to normal physics.

Faster vehicle welding glitch method

Step 1: Create your body surrounding your vehicle (ie banshee, warthog etc).

Step 2: Select your body pieces and group them together. (Do NOT include vehicle).

Step 3: Select group and weld it (Do NOT select, group, or weld vehicle yet)

Step 4: Select welded group and select your vehicle. Press up on the D-pad and wield together (does not appear in options).

Step 5: Make vehicle parent object and set physics to normal.

NOTE: All objects physics must be set to “phased” during creation of both methods.

Nice! I always hated waiting for the vehicle to respawn.

I accidentally discovered that method too I think. It’s very effective compared to the other.

Currently trying to Forge a map, and I might use this! But I’m not home at the moment, so I’m gonna us this as a “bookmark” for later… Thanks for the info!

You can use spawn-all-objects in map options.

Thread has been followed for future reference.

Didn’t they get rid of it though? If it’s back then I’m happy I can have a working forklift again.

Damn, this works!

Thanks for the Forge tips! This takes out a few annoying steps.

Someone told me they did get rid of it and for a while it wasn’t working for me, but until the last update that came over a month ago it’s been working fine.

I’m making a video on this today! Thanks a lot I’ll be sure to credit you!

Thanks. Be sure to mention Obsedian Dragon too, and send me a link to the vid.

Didn’t get that in, but I scheduled the video for today and it is set to drop in approx 1 hour and 30 mins
I’ll stick that last part in the description right now!

EDIT:Link, I’m posting this before the video is out, so it may not work if you find this post fast after I made it. It will work in a few hours if it is currently not working as I scheduled the video

I don’t think they have ever patched it out, they recognize and encourage people to use the glitch, they even played customs that used it on some of their livestreams.

I’m trying to do this, however the objects will not go to Normal. It stays on Fixed or Phased.

I tried this before Firefight update, same results. I guess Hog Wild update messed the trick up. (Trying to merge with a Mongoose)

I can finally realize my dream of making a working forklift

Are you using Sound or FX objects? Some objects will not support Normal physics.
