New hard drive causing problems

Posting this on behalf of my son. If it looks as though I don’t know what I’m speaking about it probably is the case.

Halo Reach. My son has played online since he first got the game. No issues. Today I got him an internal hard drive. Installed and transferred over what I could from his USB sticks. Problem is that when he goes into custom games. It will go up to a certain percentage when loading the map and goes back to the start. Eventually it states players failed to load connection. Please give me the idiots guide to this.

well sounds to me like your son might have to re download the (dlc maps) but if it’s not dlc the disk might be damaged (being to scratched up) which might cause it to fail loading the maps hope this helps.

There may Have been an issue with Downloadable content. Since you transferred your files to the new hard drive it may have not read them off your sons account. I have had a similar problem before. My recommendation is if you have any DLC maps you download them again and this may solve your issue with the ability to load content.

Make sure you also did a license transfer to the new HD as that can also cause trouble.

If you still run into trouble with content on the new HD, you’ll want to reach out to Xbox Support. They’ll be able to walk you through the process and make sure everything is okay and in order. =)
