New Halo Reclaimer Saga New Theories...

Installation 00, or The Lesser Ark, is a mysterious Forerunner installation that has many functions; however little is known about the Ark apart from being a Foundry, for damaged or new Halo Installations, and perhaps a safe haven from the firing range of said Arrays.

I have a theory… I always thought if the Lesser Ark can remotely activate all the Halo Arrays why did it not have some sort of activation index… like the Halo rings? Would it be such a huge misinterpretation, or sheer hubris, to think that the Flood could never reach them… even outside the galactic center? The Greater Ark was taken and destroyed abruptly… so I believe my explanation and reasoning has merit. Surely their was to be a key or something that was required… otherwise if the Flood controlled a Human… or Forerunner… they could use it to activate the Halo Arrays and relinquish the Milky Way Galaxy of all sentient life… and finally finish their mission of suffering and pain.

My next question is during my campaign run through of Halo 4, the Master Chief on Ivanoff Station noticed some collected Forerunner artifacts… one of which was the Activation Index of Installation 03… it stated that although the main and direct function of the key was to activate Gamma Halo and start the cleansing wave… it had unseen secondary and tertiary functions too… My theory is perhaps this has something to do with the Ark… Perhaps all seven activation indexes must be brought to the Ark to activate a portal to a slip-space shield where maybe the Forerunner Survivors are waiting?

And now having discussed the activation indexes and perhaps more unseen properties… then would it be such a leap of faith to assume perhaps the Janus Key has some too… and now bringing that up? What is the Absolute Record? It sounds like a collection of knowledge… probably the old or “primitive” way the Forerunners stored their history and knowledge until they discovered the Domain… and perhaps they only used it for localized or generalizations of Historical events… upon discover the latter library. Well a unknown Ancilla on the ark had discussed with 343 Guilty Spark… that he is Alexandria… a reference to a Egyptian Library… and it was proven that their were only two self-aware ancillas… 032 Mendicant Bias… and a currently unnamed Ancilla… perhaps in-truth they are one and the same ancilla and the embodiement of the Library or Absolute Record… Bornstellar Makes Eternal Lasting did state the only reason you remain active is because your knowledge maybe needed one day to combat the Flood…

Curiosity spark Imagination spark Theories…

More likely, the new Halo games will be heavily based on new and unrevealed lore. The likelihood of anyone correctly guessing any significant part of the storyline is very, very small.

I don’t think you understand what the Flood wants to do. Yes, it wants to cause pain and suffering throughout the galaxy, but how do you cause pain and suffering when the Halo Array kills everyone in a flash? The Flood wants to absorb life so that it can steal memories and constantly force its victims to be in pain forever and ever, just look at what the Flood did to Captain Keyes in the Terminals in Halo: CEA. So the Halos act counter to what they want, hence why the Gravemind wanted to prevent their firing.

As for the Activation Index portal idea, that might be a problem since the Index for Installation 04 is lost thanks to the original being destroyed and Cortana being killed. She had a copy of the Index, but I don’t know if she still had it during the events of Halo 4. So if you need seven Indexs…you are -Yoink- out of luck.

Can’t really say too much about the Absolute Record, but I’m willing to bet Mendicant Bias is the record more than anything.
