We’re all loving MC again, but I think one of the major changes is the music and Halo theme sound.
Quite frankly, I love it. It’s quite refreshing to hear something else other than Marty(heresy, I know).
The new theme is awesome for a ringtone and the new music is more frantic and inducing, but who made it. Who will compose for Halo 4?

Bungie’s Halo-era is over. That’s great, as Bungie can progress to greater projects. However, it also means that 343 Industries now control the Halo franchise, and they want to prove that by introducing a new art and music direction. For me, I agree with their decision - freshness can only improve the Halo universe.

Sotaro Tojima is 343’s composer. He’s done Metal Gear Solid and Castlevania.

No, no, no. Marty should be the only one composing halo music. He created the halo feel with it. How would you feel if they suddenly changed the starwars theme, or indiana jones, or JAWS? Its just not right. Why mess with something thats not broken.

Look Bungie didnt want to do anymore Halo games. What else can MS do if us Halo fans want more of the Chief?
Well Marty works for Bungie sorry to crush your hopes. I’m not too worried the composer for Ensemble did a great job with Halo Wars, and I’m sure 343 will do just fine.

It looks good and all but the only problem I have is the how he got the new armour and the strange looking Cortana.
…Oh and that jetpack that just magically appeared out of nowhere.

this is the one thing thats bugging me about the trailer, voice actors…that didnt sound like cortana in the trailer will they use the same ones as bungie or have a new cast?

This trailer was a CGI im sure when they do another trailer and when we get to the full game Cortana’s orginal voice actor will be there MC’s orginal voice actor is. It would be good to hear Marty’s music but i hear he has stoped doing halo music and wants to move on to something else.
but they could use martys old music couldnt they? the thing that i hated most about halowars was the lack of martys halo soundtrack
The original soundtrack would be fine… but I wouldn’t mind if they re-recorded at least some with real instruments. At least make it sound less like synth.
Marty’s music influenced the music in Halo Wars and I’m sure it will do the same for Halo 4. However, Marty O’Donnell is a Bungie Employee and will most likely be focussing on Bungie’s next franchise.
This is kinda surreal, because with every new Halo game, we always knew where the music came from.
But now, it’s a guessing game.

Just mix it up a little. That’s all they have to do, though while retaining the core themes. That’s what they did for the Halo 4 teaser trailer anyway. The main Halo theme was present in it, but it was darker, more sinister. I liked that variation of the theme.
I liked the way they changed the music but i feel like the music has always been one of the great things about halo and without martin making the music i worry that it just wont be the same. So i’d very much like to know if martin will be helping with or doing the music even though he is working at bungie and not 343 it would be great for him to do it.
