New Halo Infinite New Melee Weapons Ideas

Okay I am just gonna lay out some general ideas here for weapons I think would be interesting additions to the Halo sandbox.

  • Kig-Yar Needle/Energy Bow: Maybe similar to Destiny bows. If its a needle bow it could super combine after two shots land to the body but have a very slow fire rate. If energy, I could see it even having a tracking effect where if you land one shot you can see the enemy location for a short period of time.

  • Promethean Knight Arm: I think this would be a perfect new Melee weapon to add in Infinite. It could be like a blade attachment along the spartan forearm almost, or just a sword similar to Warden Eternal’s. To differentiate it from the energy sword I don’t think it should be one hit kill, but I think it should have a significant speed boost, very fast swing speed, and increased melee lunge speed. Really I would be open to any interpretations though.

  • UNSC Reverse Engineered Gravity Knuckles??: Okay this one is a little out there, but lets say the UNSC uses the same tech in the gravity hammer to make a pick up that does significantly less damage than the gravity hammer, but still has the knock back effect. Perhaps when punching a wall you could use it to propel yourself in the air, opening up new potential for skill jumps in Halo. Overall, I just think a UNSC Melee weapon would be cool but don’t necessarily know what else would fit into the lore. Mayybee a machete? But that doesn’t really seem Halo to me.

  • Atriox’s Energy Mace/Prophet’s Bane: While I hope REQs do not return in Infinite, I do hope the lore variants return like Nornfang, Oathsworn, and of course Prophet’s Bane. This is just a bit of a side comment about REQs but these legendary lore variants are so cool to me and should at least be available within the custom games and Campaign I think. Wishful thinking though.

Any thoughts on these additions? Halo sandbox to me is what makes it special and with the Banished potentially returning in Infinite with all their modded tech it could open a lot of possibilities for weapons like these.
