I’m excited for Halo 4 but…
Halo has always been rich in story and lore…why doesn’t Microsoft use it’s incredible lore to tell other stories and spin offs like Halo Wars ?
I’d like to see a game focused on the elites…maybe something where the Elites joined the Covenant … and instead of an FPS maybe an action/TPS hybrid
The Elites are bad -Yoink- and I would love to see a game focused on the Spec Op Elites. A third person stealth game where you can play co op with squad of 4 elites.
Star Wars is a great example, it’s a large franchise and it has games in every genre, RPG’s, Shooters, Racers, space combat, action games etc.
One game that really came to mind was Star Wars Republic Commando, which was incredible btw.
Microsoft should make a game like that focused around Elites.
Halo is essentially the Star Wars of video games.
[I consider Zelda the LOTR of video games]
Rambling aside, point is with all of this lore and back story, there are a lot of possibilities outside of the main Halo games.
Microsoft makes a quick buck because anything with the name Halo will sell…and fans get a great game that expands on Halo’s rich lore
on this matter I totally agree with you.
microsoft/343 need to expand their universe more.
that’s why I liked halo wars and ODST so much, they were connected to the other media’s yet they had little to no outstanding connections.
343 needs to expand on the principles of these games:
ODST had a fantastic campaign due to its relatable characters, grittier battles and that awesome hub
wars on the other hand had a fantastic story coupled with awesome cutscenes and emotive moments.
while I totally want an elite game 343 should try to focus on these principals first I mean hell halo wars pretty much set its self up for a sexual.
though somewhat unrelated if they make a sexual to ODST they need a shot of mickey flying a pelican named the serenity.
One is a sort of open-world game where you’re part of a Spartan IV Grey-Team. You can visit a variety of planets, stations, etc., and you basically have free reign over where and when you go places. There’s a large central storyline to follow, but every week you get new missions and stuff to do on the side, and every month or so they can add new locations to visit. You can customize your ship, and even hire crews, the better crews giving you better results, i.e. it gets repaired faster, weapons become more accurate, etc. (the crews can be human or alien (or both), like Unggoy, Kig-Yar, maybe even a rogue Elite or two). Multiplayer could be integrated into the main campaign.
The second is your basic Halo game, except you play as a Forerunner, Perhaps during the Forerunner-Flood War
I believe due to ODST and reaches success there will be spinoffs, I think H4 and H5 are setting up for a new direction in the franchise though, and we may see a spinoff from a side story created by these games, should be interesting
