RPG perhaps?
The rumor is that it is an MMO
Ugh seriously? They should better focus 100% on Halo 5 instead of trying to make more money…

Rumor is they are going to ruin Halo 5 because they are focused on something else.

Awesome. Halo needs some branching out.
I still hold hope that Halo 2 is being remastered.
Doesn’t even say it’s a game, guys. The only thing to suggest that is the label “AAA,” and I wouldn’t trust that.
you know that there are different groups that works on different things there some may work on Halo5 as an exampel and some work on something new.
I hope Halo 2 Anniversary could be considered “new”. It’s the only game I would accept at the moment.
I’ve always wanted a full-on racing game with Halo’s engine.
You could choose Chief’s warthog outfitted with 2 marines that attack nearby racers. An Elite could be riding a ghost with a special boost ability. Have a brute riding a chopper that’s able to plow through smaller vehicles like the mongoose.
Have powerups scattered throughout the racetrack which give your vehicles speed boosts, overshields, active camo, etc.
Everyone stays in their vehicles (no getting out and running around on foot).
Make it play like Mario Kart 64, but give it an open/puzzle world like Diddy Kong Racing.
Have a battle mode that pits vehicles against each other in arenas modeled after popular Halo maps. Make the racetracks nostalgic.
Include social and ranked playlists with visible in-game rank. (I don’t care about boosters/cheaters, I just want to see the in-game rank that I earned playing legit.)
Call it, ‘Halo: Masterchief’s Legendary Racing Adventure.’
Since ‘Halo’ is in the title, it will probably sell well.
Your thoughts?^^
Hmm, let’s explore the possibilities:
• Halo 2 Anniversary - As a follow up to Halo CE Anniversary. But really, would this be considered AAA if it’s just a remastered version of the game?
• Halo Wars 2 - Certainly a game that many Halo fans want. This would be a nice way to branch out from the FPS series and give us another RTS game.
• Halo: Thorne - Just thinking outside of the box here. I just have the feeling that Thorne is who 343 wants to take over after Master Chief passes the torch. By creating a spin-off this early, they can test the waters to see if people are receptive to him being the new main hero down the line. It’s certainly a game I’d buy. Seeing as we have just been introduced to Thorne and he’s a rookie Spartan, what better way to “grow up” with him? Though this might seem a bit early, the point is, by bringing him in this early, 343 has plenty of room to develop the character, add more BA stuff to his armor/abilities and evolve him as a character and Spartan. If the early spin-off doesn’t work or is met with bad press/sales, then they won’t have to risk a trilogy on him after Halo 4/5/6.
• Halo: MMORPG - Okay, I play plenty of Halo. But man, THIS would just completely kill any time I have. I’d be so absorbed into this game, my Halo blog would likely suffer. Hmm, 343 might do well on something like this…
• Mega Bloks Halo - As competition to all of those LEGO games, Mega Bloks might get a Halo title finally. They’ve had successful contests with their Halo products for stop motion animation. Their products are fantastic and FUN. Personally, I’d LOVE to see this happen. LEGO needs more competition and this would give it to them.
• Halo: ONI - Hmm, a Splinter Cell like game using ONI operatives instead of Spartans or ODSTs. This would be interesting.
• Halo: Insurrection - This is one I’ve mentioned on the net before. A prequel. It’s set during Master Chief’s time before the Covenant War. We would play as either Chief or other Spartan IIs of the time against human Insurrectionists. More Halsey!
Any other ideas?
Well yea, I would only like Halo 2 remastered

I like that. I could see a Halo Mech game. Halo is very strong on Vehicles and right now Consoles needs a Hawken because For Soft and the Armored Core series is floundering.
I also wouldn’t mind a game that use the Forge to build UNSC ships that you control in some advanced 4x game.
That, is very exciting news. I really enjoy when they have these little side games honestly. It allows developers to experiment with new things. The new stories are always interesting.
I’m just going to throw this out there, they’re probably going to make a new side game because the xbox 720 is rumored to be realeasing sometime soon, so i can bet $5 that 343 is going to work on something to pass some time, until they can start working Halo 5 officially.
Thanks for the post OP!

Clever ideas halo fan!
I really like the sound of the Halo: ONI game!

-I’m not really looking forward to that one
-I do that in the trilogy on a daily basis
-yeah this would be a good idea. I’m especially looking forward to forced Tactical Packages and Support Upgrades. Episode 6 Chapter 1 was a nice change of pace since I had a forced loadout
-it’d be the first time I tried that genre
-YES. Though I’d prefer LEGO. More game breaking glitches; I did stuff that was just like Halo in LEGO games. Also, cutscenes
-I think Halo has enough emphasis on cover. There needs to be more emphasis on stealth honestly. It’s very easy to dispatch enemies in open combat and you can dominate with active camouflage AA. But take those away, give me a silenced weapon, make the AI less cheap (less flanking, more cover), lots of optional paths/routes and I’m down for it.
-I’m not too fond of human enemies but I love having large numbers of them in one area. Marine enemy army vs. marine allied army would be terrific!
When I hear about this sort of thing from any source other than 343i, I remain skeptical. I also don’t appreciate hearing it somewhere else first. Why the hell did they make Waypoint?
Halo Wars 2 is worth doing. Ensemble was close but had to release a game that was not ready because Microsoft wanted it done (sound familiar?)
I would like to see a game along the lines of the Chrome Hounds model, where the factions would be UNSC, Covenant and Innies. For those that don’t know, Chrome Hounds had a War between four nations that started over every Tuesday. You could drop in any time and join a battle somewhere, either alone or with a squad. You could join a squad or make your own. It was class-based so Halo could be a good fit.
Only other thing I could think of is a game specifically for competitive gamers. A no-frills Arena Shooter with a spectator mode, in-game live streaming, skill-based ranks visible in game, you get the idea. Don’t know how much money it would make, but I think this should get settled once and for all.
There’s my two cents. Where’s yours?
Since it was left out or cough cough replaced. Nothing but Firefight and every form of it.
Arcade
Limited
ODST
a Spartan ops form
They have all the old engines to use, so use them.
Use the ODST engine for it, use the Reach engine for arcade and limited and the halo 4 engine for SPOPs.
Same armory, Same weaponry as all the other games.
