New Halo Game Next Year?

This is almost definitely wishful thinking, but with the next Xbox hopefully launch next year, could we see it accompanied with a Halo-themed launch title? Looking at the release schedule of Halo games in the last 6 years, we’ve seen an almost yearly pattern.

2007 - Halo 3
2008 - (Halo Wars pushed back to early 2009)
2009 - Halo Wars, ODST
2010 - Reach
2011 - Halo CE Anniversary
2012 - Halo 4

So projecting out, we’d need something next year. This is likely crazy, but I’m always up for more Halo.

2013 - Halo 720 Launch Title?
2014 - Halo 2 Anniversary?
2015 - Halo 5?

What do you think? Is it likely? What would it be? What would you want it to be? Personally, I’m hoping for a “Master Chief Dances Through the Stars” Kinect game.

doubt it.
i seriously doubt it.

if anything, a halo 2 remake, but I’m not seeing anything.
most likely because the 720 might be coming out next fall.

If anything I would bet on the Halo 2 Anniversary Late next year early 2014.

Halo 2 maps to be DLC.

2014 would be the 10-year anniversary for Halo 2, so that would be the logical release time. And with Terminals to tease for Halo 5, of course.

Assuming the XBox 720 comes out next year (Q3/Q4) I doubt that there will be a Halo launch title by then. There’s just not enough time unless they do something small (-er than ODST). It would appear that Microsoft’s philosophy for Halo now is that Master Chief HAS to be in the game.
But if the “NextBox” comes out late 2014 around Halo 2’s anniversary date, Halo 2 Anniversary could be a launch title for the next XBox.

I don’t see a new console coming out next year so I’d say Halo 5 or a Halo 2 remake in 2014.

I wish 343 was hiding another diamond in the rough like ODST. I don’t anticipate anything but Halo 2 Anniversary coming out before Halo 5.
