As we all know, the Master Chief Collection includes only the games that have the title Halo and a number after it (1,2,3,4).
Other Halo games such as Halo: Reach and Halo 3: ODST are not in the Master Chief Collection because those Halo games don’t have a storyline that focuses on Master Chief.
Now let’s compare Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST.
Halo 3 got into the Master Chief Collection because it’s name is made of the title Halo and a number(3).
Every player that had played the Halo 5: Guardians campaign can say that it is not a Master Chief game while thinking it was supposed to be one.
Well if you look at the name of the game Halo 5: Guardians you will see that it does not add up to the Master Chief game series. So now let’s compare Halo 3: ODST with Halo 3 and Halo 5: Guardians with…
Well let’s try to consider this:

You know what? Try to think that the same way Halo 3: ODST and Halo 3 have a relationship, Halo 5: Guardians is gonna have a relationship with, perhaps, the next game that’s gonna come out which will, perhaps, be simply called Halo 5 and not Halo 6. Why does this make sense? it makes sense because Halo 5: Guardians didn’t have Master Chief as a main character the same exact way Halo 3: ODST didn’t. But just because Halo 3 had Master Chief as the main character, it is very likely that 343 industries will bring Halo 5 (not guardians) before Halo 6 (unless they don’t know how to count).
So in conclusion, Halo 5 (not guardians) is going to be the next game 343 will bring us and everyone who complained about Halo 5: Guardians not having Master Chief as a main character in the campaign are as smart as people who complain about Halo 3: ODST not having Master Chief in the campaign.
MIND BLOWN
I stopped reading when you said ODST isn’t in MCC.

I meant It’s not supposed to I’m so sorry
We know there will be another Halo. It will probably be unnumbered. Also, ODST is in my MCC.
That was a mistake guys I meant it’s not a Master Chief game I’m so sorry
It focuses me when you deleted the beginning and then moved on.
Edit: damn auto correct I ment confused

This is script for a video I’m gonna do on YouTube I’m so sorry for not editing it to sound good as a real article
I don’t get this post… we already know their will be another Halo game… there will be a few of them. We are getting Halo Wars 2 this year… We know already know there will be a Halo 6… and that they have already said they no longer are making a trilogy but an actual saga safe to say there should be quite a few more games.
I couldnt even stand reading that. I started than had to quit.
What? I didn’t understand a word.
Translation. Since Halo 3 ODST is a side game, he’s saying Halo 5: Guardians is also a side game for Halo 5… Which he believes will be the next game.
That said, 343 has already stated they are trying to get away from the numbers (i.e. 2,4,5) and just have a subtitle to go along with them.
Seems like the OP is saying that because it is Halo 5: Guardians and not just Halo 5, then the REAL Halo 5 will be released at some point in the same way Halo 3: ODST is separate from Halo 3. There is a logic there unless one considers that 343 may just start adding subtitles to main games.

except the named title (ODST) came after the unnamed (Halo 3), also Chief would have to not exist at all in Halo 5 Guardians for his theory to continue to make sense do to the fact that ODST had nothing at all to do with Chief. Chief existed in Halo 5 and can be argued that he was still somewhat the focus (even if he wasn’t the main protagonist).

Yeah, except Halo 3: ODST came after Halo 3, not before. So there’s no way in hell the next installment is going to be named just Halo 5. If they gonna continue the Halo 5 series then it would have a subtitle e.g., Halo 5: Fall of Chief. But we all know most likely it’s going to be Halo 6.
Nah bro, 343 has made it pretty clear they wanted to start adding subtitles and finally moving away from numbered installments completely. Sort of like how Mass Effect is not numbered anymore.
Old news OP.

This pretty much derails the theory. If I recall correctly, 343i wants to move away from numbered Halo titles and towards subtitles, hence Halo 5: Guardians. I wouldn’t be surprised if Halo 6 is called Halo: The Created Wars or something along the lines. Personally I prefer the numbered titles. It looks more simple and clean.
Ever see RvB Caboose visit the Halo:Reach campaign? Now the scene where Dr. Halsey is handing Cortana to Caboose. Quote: Dr. Halsey “Do you have it?” Caboose “No, you own’t let go.” Dr. Halsey “Say the words please.” Caboose “The words please.” In the background it shows Jun who says “What?” How does this fit in? Well, you are Caboose and I am Jun and I have no clue what your trying to say and your topic is to say… scattered.

True, but they should’ve finished the trend off with 6. Now it just looks weird.
The Forrunner saga/trilogy started with numbers…so it should end with numbers. After that then they can change it.
