Hey guys i’m not sure if this has been found or not but I have not found any videos showing it. Go ahead and boot up the level Showdown, instead of getting into the pelican pick up some power weapons and then proceed to kill all the marines in the hanger bay. When most of their numbers start to dwindle a new marine spawns. You will notice that he is the only black marine in the whole base with a cap. He looks suspiciously like Sargent Johnson and he also spawns with a shotgun with pretty much makes it clear in my mind that this was 343’s nod to his death in halo 3.
I’ve been doing this for weeks but I haven’t noticed the “special” character you refer to.
I like to sit up there and snipe the UNSC cause it feels like Halo:Zombies to me. Never ending UNSC firefight. I’ve stayed alive once for about 45 minutes near the pelican with all the ammo refills and rail gun pick ups.

IIRC, there is a way to make it shorter.
Kill all but 3 of the existing marines and Spartans (wait between each kill so they don’t turn on you).
Then kill the 2 survivors to get the last marine to turn on you. Kill him as well then go over to the room which had a marine and a crew member inside, intercept the Spartans there and the Johnson wannabe should appear.
