Helped someone get a XB1s, and what’s the first thing they want? Halo 5! So I gave her my unopened Collector’s Edition and am now thinking of how bizarrely awesome it will be for her to take her first jump into the game as it is now in late 2017. Warzone balancing, full Req possibilities, WZFF, customs browser, and more. (Also, she may wonder about the lobby glitch for WZ Assault that won’t find a game…) I am very curious what that would be like and wish I could experience this game with brand new eyes.

OP didnt specify this is the case. It could just be her first XBO game. Even if it is, it seems she’s more interested in MP anyway, so H5 is a fine choice.

Actually, Halo MCC and Skyrim are the other games she’s getting! So she will experience the whole saga.

I could literally say the exact same thing about Halo 5. It’s no better than MCC. In fact it’s worse! At least MCC has been pretty stable as of late, whereas Halo 5 still has game crashing bugs from day 1. I’d rather play gutted versions of older Halo games, than a spazzed out new Halo.

Not once has my game crashed. You should probably get your xbox checked. MCC was flat-out broken for YEARS and when it finally started working consistently, the player base already moved on.

After all the time I played Halo 5 I never had too many problems with it.

That was really sad: a ton of nostalgia-hype stuck spinning its wheels until too late. That bad memory makes me even more envious of someone who is born into the current-gen Haloverse right now after years of fixes. It must be like buying a suit off the rack and having its fit feel tailored already.
True. Honestly I wish I could play the game brand new with all the new DLC and bug fixes
That’s great! You need to get here on the forums and have her tell us what she thinks. It will be interesting to hear the perspective of a brand new player.
It would be interesting what your friends opinion is about Halo 5. It’s not as incomplete as it was when it launched. So that’s good.

Then you’re lucky but Halo 5’s population has been crippled due to these game crashing bugs, that have little to nothing to do with the console, Halo 5 is just a poorly made game plain and simple. MCC has quite a stable player base these days actually and even quite stable gameplay, moreso than Halo 5 that’s for sure.

She just received and set up her console, so I’ll to scoot her into Halo 5 soon and report on her first jump into the One-verse.

Luck had nothing to do with it. The only time Halo 5 has ever had stutter issues were near it’s launch and when firefight came out. It’s been a smooth sail since then. And even then, it never crashed, it just simply booted people out of matches.

That’s crashing! If it boots you out of matches that’s called a server crash, most people have to reload their game when that happens!
