New Halo 5 gameplay trailer

I feel that after watching the halo 5 gameplay trailer, I feel that 343 is trying to focus more on fire team osiris rather than give us some new details on blue team. Since E3 back in June, i feel that since then 343 has been talking more about fire team osiris, and trying way to hard to make them look like a cool new team in the halo universe. While I do think that osiris is a cool new feature that mixes up things in the game, I still want to see more stuff on the master chief and blue team.

I think all the media is 70% Locke and 30% Chief. I think the latest gameplay was more for showing off the Chief and how he gives no -Yoinks!- about Locke or ONI and will do anything to complete his mission. But yes, overall they keep shoving Lock and osiris down our throats.

Dood … you’ve missed the entire point.

Blue Team is missing and no one knows where they are or what they’re doing. If they were to show us any of that (outside of the little snippets that they have) then they would have spoiled the whole damn point of the game. We will learn what they’re up to by playing as them in the game. So showing that ruins it.

You can’t have “#HuntTheTruth” and then “Oh by the way, here’s a trailer of Blue Team and what they’re up to, i.e. ‘The Truth’”

That’d be silly.

So what we get is “Blue Team is missing, we’ve assembled this Team Osiris to find them, check them out, aren’t they so kewl? And here’s two frames of Chief because spoilers.”

^Makes sense. Still would be nice if they toned it down. They make it seem like he’s chiefs future replacement. WHICH is another topic all in its own. Not trying to start that lol

Don’t you remember Cortana saying “They’ve replaced you, they don’t care about you” to Chief in Halo 4 during one of her episodes? It was clearly said as if it were a bad thing. I don’t think 343 is trying to replace Chief. I think ONI is trying to replace Chief. And I think a lot of us might be getting that mixed up.

But to be fair, they haven’t been very clear on the matter. Maybe we should wait until we play the game before continuing this discussion because we could both be wrong. Chief’s story has to end eventually, but I doubt 343 would do it so soon after taking over the franchise. He’s Xbox’s Mario, so Pete’s sake.

Yep, people forget that and…

Interrogator: "Do you believe the Master Chief succeeded because he was, at his core, broken?

"Halsey: "What does John have to do with this? You want to replace him.

"Interrogator: "The Master Chief is dead.

"Halsey: "His file reads ‘missing in action.’

"Interrogator: Catherine, 'Spartans never die

From Halo 4s prologue

isn’t that a good thing? blue team has always been mysterious anyways… i guarantee more than half the halo population didn’t even know who blue team was up until a year ago or so… idk if you were on here when people were complaining about having to read books and comics just to know the lore of halo… that all the story should have been in game and blah blah blah…

Oni isn’t trying to replace chief, they are trying to take him out of the picture all together. Thats why they came up with all the false backstories like the one in hunt the truth.

I took that more at Cortana being affronted by the existence of Spartan IVs

He was MIA in the prologue because he spent a few years adrift in Cryo
