Official Pre-Order page shows some new details about what’s inside the limited and collectors editions. Apparently the Collector’s edition’s statue is of Chief and Locke. Seems they can be placed back to back or face to face,

No. All DLC is free with Halo 5 for everyone. I don’t think they are going to give exclusives to anyone. I think they are trying to break the mold on that.

After seeing the trailer I really thought about preordering the LE, but now I’ll think twice if I do so.
I think at least one cosmetic thing should be in there (no matter if weapon or armor skin) just to show off your pride in MP, but the one thing that really strikes me are those 14 premium req cards which will be also obtainable ingame (if I got this right)…
Man I just see where this is going → microtransactions.
In game currencies are always used for those

Secured a pre-order for the Limited Collector’s Edition, very excited to get my greedy and unworthy hands on the goodies it comes with, then waste hours of my life in Warzone!

Yeah Halo 4 was the only game I did this and I got screwed, the hype just almost got me to break this golden rule but I think I will just buy it when it’s out for a week and go totally offline during this time to not get spoiled on the campaign
Uh, what? No disc for the Limited Collector’s Edition? What’s the point of including the unique steelbook (or any case for that matter) if there’s no disc? Man, I was getting the other editions just to round out the collection, but now it seems that the regular edition will be by necessity since want a physical copy…
The Metal Earth models are a really neat inclusion, though - especially if you plan on getting only the Limited Edition.
343 Industries better lower these high prices, then. I’ve got the Limited Collector’s Edition on pre-order right now, but I’m not really interested in paying $250 for as little as a John/Locke statue, a probably mediocre animated series, one of those dinky craft models of a Guardian, a steelbook with no disc (including a disc and a digital download would increase value for me, inversely), what will probably be a piece of paper that simply says “Find the Master Chief - Signed, CINCONI Osman”, and dossiers that will probably contain the exact same information we’re seeing in Game Informer right now. This swag would be okay - simply okay - for $150, but $250? They need to either cut the price or add a handful of weapon or armor skins as goodies for this edition - exclusive player customization available universally across retailers is always a good thing to me. Oh, and that disc better be in the steelbook along with a download code. How can this possibly be a “collector’s edition” of a game without even featuring a disc to collect?
I’m not even sure I’d be interested in paying $100 for the next edition down. A couple of in-game papers, a small (cheap) steel model, and an animated series for a story we already know is hardly worth an additional $40 to me. Again, they need at least one piece of digital in-game content to tempt us with.
I’m pretty disappointed. The statue is shaping up to be the only worthwhile thing in these collections (depending entirely on the character poses, dimensions of the statue, paint application, etc). I guess I might be marginally interested in a Reach-based animated series. I’m just not sure all this stuff is worth an extra $190 for my edition of this game.

I’ve got a few of the Metal Earth models and I find them irksome at best - it’s about $20 for an inch-and-a-half flimsy metal statue that is a surprising struggle to assemble yourself - good luck folding pieces without detaching them. Then, when assembled, the glossy metal is a fingerprint magnet in your hands, making the statue look ugly. In short, based on my previous experience with these kinds of models, I’m not really looking forward to this one.

Use BestBuy and gamers club thing, you save 20%, or 50$, it’s 30$ for 2 years.
All limited editions are normally 100, and 250. If you don’t think it’s worth it, just buy the regular game, no worries.
I did notice that it is a download, and not a disc though, that was a new piece of information.
If the limited collectors edition does not come with a disc I am cancelling my £200 preorder… Unless they reduce the cost by £50 to make up for not having the disc.

I don’t shop at Best Buy.
I’m not concerned with normal limited edition prices - I’m concerned with value.
The description doesn’t specifically mention a lack of a disc, so it could be a disc + digital download combination, which would slightly justify the higher price tag in my opinion.

You can save money, and you’re still complaining for not shopping at a particular location. I buy games at BestBuy only because of their Gamers club discount, you can’t complain about it being too expensive then reject when people show you how to save.
Then go buy the game only. Your sense of value is different than that of 343i, and possibly the other consumers.
I agree it doesn’t say a lack of disc, but it does say ‘Digital Download’, which infers that it doesn’t have a disc. Otherwise, why would they need to put that on the list?
