Anyone else thinks the new grifball rocks?
It feels more smooth
I intend on playing it non stop for the WHOLE WEEK!
LOVING IT
Anyone got any favorite moments of grifball do share
my favorite thing to do now is have sword out, pick up ball, throw the ball at the opponent and then SLICE THEM
I also love how the bodies fly everywhere when the hammer is used.
- the new noises are great.
I have not played the new Grifball yet, but my favourite memory is from Reach:
Actually, they’re “multiple” memories; I got A LOT of killionaires and unfriggenbelievables from playing Grifball in Reach.
How? Pure skill. (I’ve won a few tournaments with my old Grifball team. I am mainly an enforcer, which means I killed everyone and cleared pathways. But if need be, I was an outstanding bomb-scorer)
I hope that when I get home I am not disappointed with the new Grifball.

I am also enjoying the new playlist. However I do disagree (somewhat) with the noises. I like most, but the gravity hammer does sound much weaker and has a more squeaky noise to it than in past Halo games. And the Griff needs to die!

If you are looking to rack up the kills go Griffball. For a more controlled and classic taste, go Griffball pro
I like the removal of the rounds. It feels better and it doesn’t cut up the gameplay at all.
Also, very easy to get kills. I got a Killtrocity on my first game
I am enjoying Grifball quite a bit, good job 343.
I enjoy Grifball more than Grifball pro. Since the round doesn’t end, the whole match feels more frantic. In each match of GBP I’ve played, it would take a while for the next round to start which just completely pulled me out of the action.
I have yet to play on Termitarium or whatever it’s called, but I’m liking the maps. I know Grifball is usually played on a level surface, but I would love to see a map with a little more terrain. kind of like the halfpipe map from Reach. Just…nothing that would allow people to camp…it’s bad enough when you get two enemies camping your spawns.
What do you guys think about the Flying bodies?

The ragdoll physics actually crack me up. Played this morning and my friend got killed, spawned, and got “hit” in the face by the body he just vacated.

It’s a petty quibble, but I agree with you.
I think Halo 4’s Gravity Hammer lacks gravitas. It should sound like a train a comin’ and feel like an earthquake.
Grifball pro is not as connection dependent as default. It is very similar to the current league variant. In the next grifball playlist update it should include the current league variant and even the remake of halo 3’s foundry map, the current league default.
