In the First Look gameplay you can see that there are 3 grenade slots. We can assume that there will definitely be Frag grenades and Plasma grenades. What do you think the third grenade will be?
Make up your own grenade that you would like to see in Halo 4.
I personally would like to see a power drain grenade. Just like the Halo 3 power drain but in grenade form.
I’m thinking it might be a forerunner weapon. One human grenade type (frag), one covenant (plasma), and one forerunner (?). It would kinda cool if it was some sort of sticky proximity mine.

Probably a very powerful grenade that will destroy any flood around it.
Notice it’s just 3 grenade SLOTS. There could be more than 3 grenade types for all we know. I’m thinking that the third slot may be for a sort of “power grenade” that acts like equipment.
I want my flame grenades to return in MM. I want my spike grenades back. I’m pretty sure the plasma and frag are back.
New Grenade (Just thought of how it would work): Ice nade, anyone running away, threatening you or whatever, will be frozen for x seconds. A direct impact will drop all your shields. Indirect impact will slow your movement slower than walkspeed for the same amount of seconds. Indirect impact will cause “some” damage to shields, and if you have no shields, then indirect or direct impact may kill you.
Fun part: These Ice grenades can stop any vehicle for the same x amount of seconds. Flying vehicles will have a longer effect.

Yes. I read in another thread awhile back about this. I think it said something like: A player within its blast radius would be sent flying, and if they hit a wall or hard surface, they’re dead, while also bringing down the player’s shields even if they didn’t impact anything. And the closer you are to the grenade when it detonates, the faster and further you fly outward.
I don’t think there will plasma grenades, though you never know. I’m hoping for energy grenades that will shoot opponents rather then blow them up. Say you through it on the ground, boom, someone gets shot at a wall, and the impact is strong enough to kill him. Sounds awesome to me. The only back fire is that they have a small damage radius.

Yup, and I can imagine some awesome splatters arising from this
I remember perfectly, the only backfire is that they screw your vision up something awful.
They were only on the level were you go to the submarine to get to the Pelagic-II
I’ve been seeing this for a while now. I can’t help but thinking, what’s the point? Sure it’s futuristic, but what does it really offer that’s new? It disables vehicles? Frags and stickies flip/destory them? Disables shields? So do frags/shields. The only difference it might have is a shorter fuse/larger AOE, in which case it would just be OP.
Frag and Plasma grenades are the staples of Halo so those are definitely in.
As for the third grenade I would really like to see the Spike Grenade return b/c of how much skill it required to use effectively. Throwing the grenade onto a wall and having the spikes kill a player is just oh so satisfying.

Lol
You get an EMP medal. Strips sheilds in the area but doesn’t overpoweredly kill people like frags. Stops veichles especially flying ones. Holding down the throw button stops it exploding til released.
